That way whoever is assigned to you will have at least a little bit of an idea as to where your tastes lie, and maybe be able to avoid putting several things you hate on your mix. I'll definitely hop on those threads, but am eager to hear a lot of new music in this exchange. |

I don't think that this will flop. It doesn't matter who I get or what they've been listening to lately. For me the purpose of this mix is to provide people with a better understanding of what I listen to and for them to have fun with the mix. My mix has no rhyme or reason to it other than to rock the fuck out.
Like yousaid before, if there is at least one song that my partner likes or has never heard but enjoys then my job is done and I'll be a happy guy.

Like I said before, once I have CD burning capability again I'll make a mix and send it to anyone who wants a copy. Not to subvert the one-to-one exchange idea, but that's actually something I told people I'd do months ago and have been meaning to ever since.

I really don't think I should be on that list. Whatever happens I'm not going to be able to ship a CD by the end of the month, and neither will Stormy. I know this is nothing like getting an actual CD, but what if you guys PM'd your receiver the track list and they could check the stuff out on Hype Machine or whatever (no illegal stuff). I plan on including a write up about the tunes with my stuff (I imagine many are thinking the same thing), maybe that could be added too. I guessing some of the stuff you're thinking about may be specifically available through only a handful of people in the US, but with the write up you never know, it may convince some one to search and buy it. Just spit ballin' ideas as I think it would be a loss to many of us to be denied some Stormy and Gramma involvement. |

I kind of like the idea of the surprise. Perhaps after everyone gets their CD, they can post who they got it from and the track listing. Then people can go and look songs up as they please.
