And today they lost to their AAA team. They basically were fielding a minor league team, but still, no other MLB squad lost to a AAA affiliate today. Oh Baltimore.

I found ranking the AL East and NL East to be the most challenging. Once you throw the Mets and Orioles in their respective spots that shit gets tough! I don't expect there to be a lot of seperation between 2nd and 4th and I will admit that I may be a bit "high" on both Miami and Washington. Baseball thread is Baseball thread. That's it and that's all!!! In all honesty I could have easily ranked them Atlanta, Miami and then Washington, but assuming you were an Atlanta fan caused me to throw out an early season jab. Ted Turner forced me to cheer for the Braves at one point in my life. If I didn't know chudd isn't me, I would think chudd is me. And an A's fan to boot. As Chudd stated, I'm not down on Atlanta, I'm just high on Washington and Miami. They did a ton to improve their teams, and Atlanta did nothing. I've always disliked the Mariners because of FoxNW, the Cubs because of WGN, and the Braves because of TBS, so that had something to do with me ranking them low. The Braves are actually a lot younger than the average fan realizes, because we are so used to them being fucking old (like every year). They COULD be better than last year. However, I don't see much of a difference between 70 win teams and 90 win teams on paper. The really good teams (95+ wins) are really good, the really bad teams (less than 68 wins) are really bad, and the other 22 teams fall into place based on a lot of luck (health, getting hot at the right time, career years, improved performance). I've been a fan of a team that routinely leads the league in DL stints (is there a stat for this to confirm or deny this statement?), so I have a reason to be skeptical about relying on health.

Chud watches Movies. You don't.
But if you were Chud, you would have successfully created an entirely new level of trolling.

I'm just hoping that the continuing sad state of the Orioles means I get to watch at least a couple of A's wins at the end of the month. Knowing my luck Oakland will get swept.

I remember when the debate between the M's and the Orioles about who got the best out of the Bedard/Jones trade was going on........not saying Jones has not been good but damn neither team has mattered for sooo long that debate seems hilarious

Jones has been one of the best acquisitions by the O's in a while, love that guy.
As big of a joke as my team is, and considering my general lack of giving a shit when it comes to MLB, I still do love the O's and will always let it be known. The sad thing is, I swear I've seen more Orioles hats worn in Boise than Baltimore. My first year out here, I constantly would stop people wearing it and ask them if they liked the O's. They would look at me weird for a second, and then realize what the fuck I was talking about only to say, "I just like the hat."
Also; fuck Cal Ripken.

And nothing can beat senior year of high school. Every Friday night home game, with a student ID tickets for the upper-deck are only $5 so we would rally the troops and get blackout drunk on the Amtrack down to Camden Yards and inevitably be kicked out by the 5th inning.

Raffy was the man. Sammy...well, lol.
Billy Ripken is the only redeeming factor of that entire family. He gets drunk and doesn't afraid of anything.

The massive rivalry that is A's vs M's in Seattle tonight. Stoked for some of the King's Court action we should be seeing. Go M's!
Chud: I think Cespedes may be the first person to hit a ball out of Safeco completely.

Very pleased in the A's performance from last night. Absolutely sick of seeing King Felix on the opposing mound, nice to beat him. That whole King's Court nonsense has no place in the game of baseball. Keep those antics at the Sounders games.
