Alright, watching the original now, then I will check out this metal version.
1) I don't think I've ever heard the word 'friday' spoken/sang more annoyingly. 2) Number 1 is actually, 'how the fuck does this have 35 million views?' 3) Don't think I have anything to add that hasn't been said 35 million times. 4) I don't know if it makes it better or worse that she didn't even write the song.

To me, there is only one "weekend" song. It used to be played on the end every friday at the end of the afternoon show (you seattlites may remember what I'm talking about). It took a little bit of searching, and I'm pissed they don't have it on youtube, but I implore y'all to listen and groove. The song is by Arling & Cameron, and its called "W.E.E.K.E.N.D." Fucking great. vimeo.com/10433268EDIT: Note, I didn't actually watch the accompanying vid, but I think its SFW. EDIT 2:Oh my god, I seriously can't stop listening to this song now. Seriously, check it out!

Yeah, the metal version is much better. Its so easy to crank out metal if that's what you do, haha. The growled 'friday' is much better than her nasally ass 'friday.'

Oh my god, really? It must have been like, 7 years ago or so that they were playing this on the end, I'm surprised you never heard it.

Tommy smells smoke and gets racial. And is drunk. Yet interviewed none the less because the news is the news no matter how drunk the news may be.

This is obviously silly stuff, but then I start to think about the fact that, silly as it may be, it exists. Therefore this was created and idealized at some point, and that is pretty awesome.

So this is all total laughs for sure, but it's also pretty great. Love the the repetitive stock footage and her decision to include a rap.

Being kids was such fun, you guys! So much time to focus on candy, ice cream and most of all, our faith based agendas.
The dude's (?) dance moves are some serious dopeness.
