the first time I saw the Flaming Lips live was right after they put out The Soft Bulletin, when they would perform along with pre-recorded tracks and a video of Stephen Drozd playing the drums. it was amazing, but in the many, many times I have seen them since then, they don't play a whole lot off this album, focusing more on Yoshimi and Mystics. the exception of course is Race For The Prize, which they often open shows with, but I for one am really excited to hear songs like A Spoonful Weighs a Ton, The Spark, and The Gash on the the Gorge mainstage at Sasquatch! - a.k.a. the greatest stage on earth.
The Soft Bulletin is about 50 minutes long. add in at least 15 minutes of Wayne talking about whatever and about 5 minutes of rolling around in a hamster ball, and the "and more" on the poster is probably about 15-20 minutes of music. here are my requests for that 15-20 minutes: 1. Bohemian Rhapsody 2. Lightning Strikes the Postman 3. The Ego's Last Stand 4. Enthusiasm for Life Defeats Existential Fear...
and here is what they will probably play: 1. Yeah Yeah Yeah Song 2. She Don't Use Jelly 3. The W.A.N.D. 4. Do You Realize??

I'd like to see them dig deep and drop a track off Hit to Death in the Future Head.

I would imagine that they play atleast one song from Embryonic true... upon reflection perhaps I would replace The W.A.N.D. in my prediction with Silver Trembling Hands or Convinced of the Hex. although I would prefer See The Leaves (haven't seen that one live yet) but if they were headlining Monday they probably could have played two full sets and thrown in a lot of Embryonic, which I would be so down for. instead I'll just have to put up with having my face melted by Nels Cline :E

They played mostly Embryonic stuff last time I saw them so I think I would be fine with them playing nothing off that album. I want to hear some of the older pre yoshimi material!
Although I wouldn't mind them playing Watching the Planets since they didn't play that last time I saw them

I'd like to see them dig deep and drop a track off Hit to Death in the Future Head. Meeee toooooo. My personal favorite Lips album; 'Frogs' or 'The Sun' would kill. Last time we saw them was right before Embryonic came out, so they played about three songs from that album and I wished they had played more. There were a few surprises - some In a Priest Driven Ambulance ('Unconsciously Screamin') and some Clouds Taste Metallic (Bad Days -- AWESOME!!). But no Hit to Death in the Future Head. So here's hoping.

Woah that's one of the worst setlists I've ever seen. I love Embryonic, more than any record since Soft Bulletin, but that set is fucking selfish.

I agree, It'll be nice when they decide to re-open the archives and throw out some heavy hitting oldies like Jesus Shootin' Heroin and Halloween On The Barbary Coast. I'll always love them but indeed the setlist's are getting a bit worn on the soles.

I am not going to voice my opinion about whether or not it is wrong to download torrents but I absolutely do not think anyone should use this board for these kinds of activities. Its not that hard to find torrents. Go to Btjunkie.org There you go, search for anything you want. No need to post any more links.

I am currently on my mobile device so I can't delete the post, but I will be doing so if the poster doesn't do it himself. What you choose to do downloading wise is none of my business but posting it publicly is not ok.
