I'm still on the fence on buying tickets. I know I would have fun, but still, 300$ is a lot of dough. If they got 2 or 3 more solid subheadliners (like, for me it would be Black Keys and maybe Queens of the Stone age), I would go for sure. As of now I still need to think about it.

I can't see them selling this year out until the last minute. There's absolutely no surprises with the headliners, they're all repeats with the exception of foo fighters. They really tricked me into thinking there would be some amazing surprises for the 10th anniversary. It's still a good lineup, but other than Wilco I've seen all the other headliners at least once before.

Just checked out their web page. Its some yawn-worthy mellow band you'd hear being played at a Starbucks. Wasn't impressed. At. All.

Pink Martini is probably the most popular band from Portland-area that no one's ever heard of, even from residents of adjacent states. I've heard of them from living in Portland but never felt like checking them out.

I'm totally pumped, like always, and there are alot of artists I've never seen on the bill that I'm really excited about, but I really have to say that Adam Zacks just gave a giant "fuck you, I don't need to prove shit" to every single one of us.

Every band on that lineup that I care to see, I've seen at least once. Most cases more than once, and most cases in venues not much larger than my house. I don't see the point of adding a fourth day to the festival when you're going to be stretched so thin in terms of decent acts.
GBV: cool. Lips playing SB: FUCKING AMAZING. Modest Mouse and Death Cab as headliners? Fucking go to hell. Second- to third-tier acts as headliners means that the undercards are literally the bottom of the fucking barrel. I officially eat crow as of this moment: Foos are the biggest name on the list. Ridiculous.
Funny how Switch is like 'BRIGHT EYES ARE THE BEST ACT ON THERE!' Funny because they're his fucking favorite band, of course he's gonna say that. And of course I'm going to be screaming 'WRONG KID DIED!!' at the stage; hope y'all will join me.

Seriously check out white denim if u love garage rock. They are simply amazing! Also same applies for the smith westerns. I'm hoping gauntlet hair gets added too!

I was hoping I'd wake up this morning and the lineup would suddenly look magical to me. It doesn't. Easily the shabbiest lineup I've seen in all my years of Squatching.

I know I'm not saying anything new here, but I suppose I'll need time to let my definite opinion settle in. You'd think that because its the 10th ann, I'd have a "holy shit, that's awesome" reaction to the headliners or undercards. I am not overwhelmed by any announcement, though there are bands I am excited to see/see again. There's no surprises this year and to me, that's a tad disappointing. I think what I'm mostly excited about, however, is getting to learn about the new bands. I got to know a lot of the new bands before I went to Sasquatch last year and they've turned into some of my favorite bands--such as Phantogram. I was expecting a bit more too in terms of some off headliner. I was actually hoping for EITS to be there, but I knew that wasn't going to happen when Primevera had them. As for bands I haven't heard of on this list, it's pretty small. The Young Evils (listening now and they sound like the band from the Juno soundtrack/Best Coast) Rebecca Gates and The Consortium,Talkdemonic,White Arrows (jnot too bad actually, kind of remind me of Bear Hands),Axis of Awesome,Tig Notaro,Aloe Blacc Haven't decided if I want to purchase a ticket yet based on the fact most bands stop through Salt Lake.

the fact most bands stop through Salt Lake. This right here proves how pitiful our lineup is.

Not saying they aren't bad, but I've seen White Denim in a 200 capacity venue, and I'll be doing the same for Smith Westerns in a couple weeks.

the fact most bands stop through Salt Lake. This right here proves how pitiful our lineup is. Yeah the only bands who I really want to see are some from Europe who have yet to stop through Salt Lake. As I mentioned in another post, most of these bands I have or will be (within the next couple of months) seeing in a 200 capacity venue

Stick--I think that despite most of those bands coming to Utah, you should at least try Sasquatch. Its a different experience getting to see the bands when you're camping and spending the whole day checking out bands. I'd say get the tix and enjoy the experience. And thanks for some of the recommendations. I'll be sure to give the newbies a listen

SLC is basically a sinkhole in terms of live music, a total blind spot on most tour managers' maps, because it is assumed that even in the unlikely event that a show sells out it's not like venue owners are going to be rakin' in the cash from drink sales. THE worst part about living in Utah is that any band worth a shit is going to steer clear of the place altogether.
I think my point is clear.

The way they were pumping us up for the best lineup ever, it is hard to not be disappointed. Wilco and DeathCab are OK at best. But I was hoping for Amazing! Even though there are some good acts most of those bands can be seen locally and cheap, as many have said. Is there a chance that the "and more..." part will contain some awesomeness!?

As underwhelming as the lineup is, who were we really expecting? This is a really weak year for festivals all around so I kind of expected something like this. Coachella is headlined by KOL and Arcade Fire, neither of which are exactly shocking headliners. I have no idea what it is but no one big is touring this year and the festival quality is suffering because of it
edit: I think that the only ones hyping this years lineup as being amazing were us. Zachs made one statement more than a year ago that was incredibly ambiguous. I guess it just turns out Adam Zachs speaks very literally (bigger=4 days)
