Is there a chance that the "and more..." part will contain some awesomeness!? People always think "...and more!" means they are going to change the headliners, and they keep believing that right up until the day of the festival. It doesn't mean that. They'll probably add a couple comedians and some bands you've never heard of.

As underwhelming as the lineup is, who were we really expecting? This is a really weak year for festivals all around so I kind of expected something like this. Coachella is headlined by KOL and Arcade Fire, neither of which are exactly shocking headliners. I have no idea what it is but no one big is touring this year and the festival quality is suffering because of it edit: I think that the only ones hyping this years lineup as being amazing were us. Zachs made one statement more than a year ago that was incredibly ambiguous. I guess it just turns out Adam Zachs speaks very literally (bigger=4 days) Modest. Mouse. Headlining. What were we expecting? We were expecting headliners. Modest Mouse hasn't put an album out in almost four years; they haven't put out an album that doesn't fucking suck in more than ten years. They played at 4:00pm three years ago when they actually had a record to support, and they sounded like shit then. The same is essentially true of Death Cab. Wilco is a nice touch, but Wilco is the go-to headliner for festivals that are picking over scraps in terms of headliners. Foo Fighters just fundamentally blow. The list of undercards is too sad to even pick apart. Pink Martini? Oh, nice one, really, that's what the kids want.

SLC is basically a sinkhole in terms of live music, a total blind spot on most tour managers' maps, because it is assumed that even in the unlikely event that a show sells out it's not like venue owners are going to be rakin' in the cash from drink sales. THE worst part about living in Utah is that any band worth a shit is going to steer clear of the place altogether. I think my point is clear. haha that and it's pretty easy for bands to not want to take a detour to play here on there way to/from Seattle.

Stick--I think that despite most of those bands coming to Utah, you should at least try Sasquatch. Its a different experience getting to see the bands when you're camping and spending the whole day checking out bands. I'd say get the tix and enjoy the experience. And thanks for some of the recommendations. I'll be sure to give the newbies a listen I think I'd still give it a shot, I was telling one of my friends the nice thing about this is I wouldn't have to worry about conflicts and missing too many bands I want to see. That was my problem about Lollapalooza last year. Wayyy too many conflicts. I think I was only able to catch one or two full acts. The rest of the time, I was running back and forth between sets. Good exercise, but got annoying. That's what I like about Sasquatch. Its so spread out that you can enjoy almost every act that you want.

HG--at least you don't have to deal with the Arcade Fire love fest, yeah?

This list of bands just seems more like an indie rock history lesson a huge party at the Gorge.

I think it is disappointing because everyone thought that in the 10th anniversary of Sasquatch, it might have been something special..instead its death cab and Modest Mouse.

I'm guilty of being an Arcade Fire fan, but I save my tears for "Ready To Start" That said, I woulda thought it'd be tacky for them to headline every major festival this summer, so I'm glad they won't be coming through either. Saw them twice last year--got it out of my system. If the opportunity arises to see them again, awesome. If not, I'll be fine.

Sled Island will probably be incredible this year with all that beautiful undercard touring around up here in the frigid north. I certainly hope you're right Alex!! After seeing this I was thinking the exact same thing. Really hope to see Archers of Loaf, Guided By Voices, Black Mountain, Local Natives and Surfer Blood hit the Sled Island lineup this year. Glad to see that festival mentioned here!

I'm not saying the headliners are good by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just saying that Coachella and Bonnaroos headliners are awful as well but yeah no justification for the undercard being booked by NPR. Pink Martini is the biggest wtf I've ever seen on the lineup (and I was there when HIM played...)

The headliners at Coach and Roo may not be incredible, but come on. I'd rather be disappointed about Arcade Fire - who I fucking hate - than feel like I'm being condescended to when they try to pass Modest Mouse and DCFC off as headliners.

but coachella is 3 times the size of Sasquatch. For them that's probably just as condescending as MM and DCFC is to us

I agree. sames goes to Kanye and KOL, of whom I'm not big fans of but would still see live if they were headlining. I know Coachella has a bigger budget, but the disparity in value between theirs and ours is startling. Especially considering every band on the first row/headlining has already done the festival before. pretty boring.

Not sure how he'll fit in at Sasquatch though...was definitely hoping for some more hip hop acts but who knows, maybe they'll surprise us with a few more. Doubt it though

Look: No Arcade Fire, no Radiohead, and no, they aren't going to add Soundgarden at the last minute this year either. Any adds to come will be either comedians or bands you've never heard of.

Did you notice that this post has been made at least once per page over the last twenty pages? Please retreat to your Twitter if you want to further bitch about the headliners. As fun as it was to have a crazy amount of traffic for one night, let's go back to having forty posters on this board; I can't keep up with all the whiny bitches who signed up last night.
