Most of you don't have a location listed, so let's have a thread just for the Canadians so we can throw loonies at loons and talk about the CFL together!

The CFL sucks. Superbowl Sunday is nearly upon us! Literally the only NFL game I watch each year, so I don't know why I'm even commenting.
So anyway... Go Canucks! Best team, or bestest team? (I actually do follow this sport.)

Vancouver, BC. I don't throw expensive change at animals, but Peatrick gave some to a bum once.
Also, I hate football, Canadian or American.

I watch a few CFL games if we have people over to watch, and I always watch the Superbowl, but I don't even know who's playing. I just watch it for the party. Am I even allowed to say go Oilers? Poor poor Oilers.

I still held onto some hope for your guys until Ryan Whitney got injured. Now I'm afraid I've given up on that.

I usually work during the games so I've just started asking how much we lost by. It's very sad. Maybe next year?

I don't need a cup.. I just need a team I'm not embarrassed to cheer for. Apparently that's too much to ask. Oh well. Even when I move to Vancouver I won't cheer for your shark things.

GOIL!
And I'm not embarrassed to cheer for them at all. I've been a fan for like 15 years. Eventually this is going to pay off.

Well I've been a fan for like 21 years... so HA! Just kidding.. I don't even know when I started caring. Probably when we got a big enough TV so that I could actually see what was going on.

Sasquatch has taught me that I like Canadians much better than US residents.

We're awesome. And we have ketchup chips and chocolate smarties. L-o-v-e the chocolate smarties. Far better than any silly M&M the US has.

I'm sure I could dig around and find a pic of me as a small child wearing Oilers pj's with a 99 on the back, but I won't. Plus I defected and became a Blackhawks fan for about 4 yrs in the mid 90s.

I already said I'd let you win. No need to prove it with pictures! Geez. And Catherine I'll bring some down to share! It's always funny when Americans eat them.. What.. these aren't smarties at all!! They're like M&M's but better!

Sasquatch has taught me that I like Canadians much better than US residents. I had a different experience with some Canadians. Are any of you part of the camp or did anyone come across the camp that ripped down a bunch of the fence and had a huge fire in a garbage can? They were yelling stuff like "fuck America" and they were burning American flags. They were located in the very back of the campground where the food vendors were. I was pissed. This was on an American holiday. I am by no means a super patriot or anything but this really bothered me. On the other hand, I met this couple that was originally from Ireland but lived in Canada. They gave me shots of grey goose while we watched Broken Social Scene. They are the type of Canadians I like.

That sucks. I don't have anything against Americans, and sometimes I think the whole, 'Canadians are nicer than Americans' thing is kind of silly. If you get to know someone it doesn't really matter where they are from. Good people are good people and bad people suck. I'm sure you can agree that the Canadians you speak of weren't the only ones there being douchetastic, but the burning of the flag thing is a little (a lot) over the top. What I'm really trying to say is.. We're not all like that, but you knew that already.
