Hey, looking into my first year at Sasquatch, coming from Los Angeles. I do not have the time to drive and need to fly so I am looking into the best way to get out to the gorge. It seems like the only options are a flight into Spokane or Seattle, and then a 2+ hour drive. Is there a better airport to fly into? i see some small airports in the areas but the flight all seem to be double the price round trip for me compared to Seattle. Then is there any kind of shuttles to sasquatch from these major areas, or any tips on getting there? Thanks...

The closest greyhound will get you is Quincy, which is about 30 minutes outside of the festival grounds. Last year, someone organized a bus rental but there isn't anything official. Carpool optons may present themselves if you hang out around the boards. Other than that, most people rent cars if they fly in.

Fun fact:
I have no idea what the odds are of this happening again though.
My ride in '09 was kind enough to take this dude who has been roughing it to a billion festivals (came all the way from New Zealand!)
Well anyway, according to him, him and a bunch of other people took the Greyhound to Quincy and planned on just making the hike over to Sasquatch. As they approached Quincy, the bus driver said "You all are going to Sasquatch, aren't you?" Everyone replied with a resounding yes. The bus driver then, out of the kindness of her heart, drove straight to the festival grounds to drop everyone off.
Granted who knows whether that would happen again, and you'd definitely be taking a chance, BUT it IS possible.

worst case scenario I'd say fly in, take the Greyhound, and hitchhike to the festival grounds from Quincy.

A simple "Sasquatch or bust" sign will get you picked up in no time anywhere within 100 miles of the Gorge.

Thats great about the Quincy bus, which it looks like I may do, as I would save about 80 bucks, compared to a rental car. And if the bus is full of Sasquatch people I may find others who have ways there, or a bunch of other hitchhikers. Seems like Sasquatch should set up some sort of shuttle, I'd pay for it.
But what about airport? Flying in to Spokane or Seattle? Seems like it would cost about the same and is about the same distance.

Ya, they're pretty much the same driving distance from both sides. I would say go with whatever is cheaper.

I feel like just letting I8 yell at you for this one, but I'll give you an answer anyway. Look into it. Many companies do rent cars to people who are under 25. Some companies still want you to be 21+ I know, so if you can't find one near SeaTac you might try Portland or Boise? Or you can fly into SEA and jump on that Bang Bus that one guy is promoting.

Yeah, it was my first direct encounter with it. I thought that it might only apply to his name in long form. I was wrong.

It doesn't apply to the long form name because than his actual username would show as Weak Shit Superfan

im flying in from florida and i'd wanna rent a car just to be safe but im only 19 so i dont think id be able to do that... Think I have the solution for ya.. Hopefully everyone on your plane is also going to Sasquatch.. In that case, tell the pilot to land at these Coordinates: 47°4′42″N 119°51′26″W Landing onto I-90 is permitted only if you have a Sasquatch patron on-board.. From there it would be safe to hitchhike in..

am i said bangbus guy? oh well might as well not make a liar outta ya! Yes, you are! Can you post pics of the interior of the bus? Maybe in your original thread. I'm interested to see it, and I'm not convinced you don't have handcuffs hanging from the ceiling.

I figured that satin straps would be more comfortable for those being bound, but we could put a sex swing or two in there i suppose. (completely joking, check the party bus post in a few mins for interior pics)
