I know no one cares about Live at Squamish, but they just added Black Mountain, The Dudes, Basstronaut and Guilty About Girls. I care about it, and I'm quite happy with the Black Mountain and Guilty About Girls adds.

as i look at how the Sasquatch 2011 lineup stacks up against the other 2011 north american festivals - as it pertains to my tastes - i find that Sasquatch is right, smack-dab in the middle.
i based my scores on totaling all the bands from each festival i'd have (more than luke-warm) interest in seeing live.
(what does it all mean?- what's my point? I'm really not sure. i was just bored and didn't accomplish much today, so I did this... Everyone else is free to do the same. Obviously.)
My list is as follows... Coachella - 36 Lollapalooza - 29 Sasquatch - 27 Bonnaroo - 20 Outside Lands - 15

I think Coachella's lineup is far and beyond the best lineup of 2011, but that's likely because I've been listening to more EDM than I used to and they cater very well to that crowd. Other than that, I'd have to say that Sasquatch definitely stacks up very well against the others.

Personally I think it's been lack-luster line-ups for all festivals this year compared to previous years. Pukkelpop in Belgium usually has a crazy stacked lineup and what they've released so far for this year is an absolute joke.

What's with Eminem headlining so many festivals? Yuck. As much as I love Eminem, seriously, wtf? I have no interest in seeing him live, and I have his first three albums memorized. Why is he first billed at Lolla nine years after anyone cared about him?

Law of averages state that I will at some point see Eminem, Twin Shadow and DFA1979 collaborate and perform a power ballad this year.

Eminem has a new song that's on the radio every fucking minute. That's why.

You listen to the wrong stations. I haven't heard an Eminem song in at least 7 years.

Pretty awesome lineup for Ottawa Bluesfest (July 5-17th) this year:
Soundgarden, MMJ, APC, Death Cab, Flaming Lips, Girl Talk, The Roots, The Hip, Ben Harper, Black Keys, Josh Ritter, Shpongle, Leon Russell, John Fogerty, DFA1979, Blue Rodeo, John Butler Trio......
The highlight of the lineup though: HUEY LEWIS AND THE MOTHA FUCKIN NEWS!!!!!!!

I was teased earlier today. Electric Picnic's face space fan page made some announcement about Ladytron performing and I almost wet myself. When I found out they were just promoting some other venue in Ireland, I was less than excited.
I mean, I love Ladytron, but I can't go out to Ireland for one performance, there, EP.

was reminded of the lollapalooza 04 lineup earlier today, I had fucking tickets to this and 7 years later I'm still annoyed that it got cancelled:
Day 1: Morrissey, Sonic Youth, PJ Harvey, Le Tigre, Modest Mouse, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Von Bondies, Broken Social Scene, the Walkmen, Wolf Eyes, Danger Mouse, the Datsuns, Sparta, DJ Peretz Day 2: String Cheese Incident, The Pixies, Flaming Lips, Gomez, Polyphonic Spree, the Thrills, Fire Theft, the Coup, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Elbow, Wheat, Wilco, DJ Peretz
I was 17 at the time and damn near every one of my favorite bands at the time was playing...
