There are no cops on the Internet.

icelandairwaves.is/line-up/Caribou and The War On Drugs were just added. DANG IT! Kills me that I am going to be in Iceland exactly one month prior to the festival. Ah well, I'll just have to go back when Bjork and/or Sigur Ros are headlining.

Even if there were no cops on the internet it would still be a stupid idea. NOT WORTH GETTING ARRESTED.

There's a contest being put on for What The Fest, and the winner of said contest gets to play the first set at the pool party on the opening day. I'm not sure if there's ever been something I've wanted more, I'm going to work so hard to put something sweet together to win that contest. Come onnnnnnnn

Fuck yeah Spoon. I've still never seen them live, looks like CHBP is a must for me this year.

Turns out I have OVER budgeted for my Europe trip (read: under estimated how much $ I would get back from my tax return). Sooo, I think I'm 'bouts to pull the trigger on Pemberton. EXCITE!

Music Fest NW posted a teaser video on Facebook today that says the lineup is coming soon. Considering their earlier announcement that lineup and ticket info will come at the end of April, unless they go full Pemberton and wait, more information will come out next week. All we know so far is that Alan Jackson is not playing (watch the video). I kind of thought Death Cab might headline as they're definitely popular and MNFW will probably want to make a splash in the first year with their new format. They're playing Maha Festival in Omaha on Saturday, April 16th (the first day of MFNW).

I would want someone way more interesting to headline than DCFC.

I thought running across town from venue to venue at wee hours of the night was what made MFNW stand out from other music festivals. Not too mention the free shows during the day at the Doug Fir.

The problem was running across town to catch someone because you bought a wristband, only to find out the show was sold out and you don't get to see it and then it's too late for you to go back to the other show and fuck all of this.

Except Decibel has staggered times, as in you can go to one showcase in the evening, and then afterwards you can head to an after hours show. At MFNW, changing locations was like russian roulette, it could work out fine or just fuck up all of your plans. I'm not a very big fan of paying for a wristband and not being able to attend shows.
Also I've never been to Decibel so I guess I shouldn't be trying to defend it or anything, but I've never heard about people complaining about not getting in to shows. That may not be indicative of what actually happens, I'm just going off of what I hear.

Sometimes the head-to-head after hours sets are annoying. Mostly good vibes.

This is a good point. Thankfully I only experienced this once in my 4 years attending MFNW.

Treefort has a similar set up, which works well because Boise is fuckong tiny.

Austin City Limits Festival tickets go on sale this Tuesday. I went last year but going solo was a little expensive. Always thought a road trip to Tejas would be quite the adventure with the right crew. Any takers out there?
