Let's face it--We can't get enough of live music. Sasquatch rocks (duh), but what are your other favorite US festivals to visit?

I've only ever gone to Sasquatch (other than Ozzfest and Warped back in the day), but I'll finally get to add Coachella to my resumé this year. Can't wait to have a new fest to compare to Sasquatch!

I haven't been to any of those festivals aside from Bumbershoot, which is basically where I grew up. Lollapalooza has always intrigued me, and the past few ACL line-ups have been inviting. I put "other" because my favorite non-Sasquatch festival has to be either Reading of Outside Lands. Probably Reading due to the stacked line-ups they get year after year. The living conditions and the people can go to hell, though.

I'd be willing to go to all of the festivals listed here... except for, maybe, Wakarusa.

The only other one I've been to was Coachella '99 and '07... I also went to Woodstock '99. My girlfriend went to 'Roo '08 and wants us to go one year, but we have an obligation to the 'quatch and all of our Quatchers. I'm not sure when we'll make it there, but I'm sure we will one day.

Yeah, I voted Coachella simply because that's the only one I've been to. Shit, I've lived in the seattle area since I was 3, and I still haven't been to Bumbershoot. I'd really like to go to sxsw sometime, but it seems like a lot of work. Honestly one of the biggest reasons I prefer Sasquatch to Coachella is that sasquatch is way more relaxing. WAY more. Coachella was too much work for my tastes, honestly. And too damn hot.

We could just do a full on 2012 quatcher relocation... Only if 2011 is a complete disaster (which it won't be, so no). haha

Before attempting to be , I8, how about reading the titles? You linked a poll for overall favorite fests. Mine polls OTHER NON-Sasquatch fests. Nice try.

This is the most egregious case of "distinction without a difference" since the FCC held that Martin Scorsese's The Blues was actionably indecent while exempting Saving Private Ryan from the ban. Both threads are stupid chances to say "HURR I LIKE BONNAROO" without offering any sort of interesting discussion. It's just a poll for its own sake. Look, I know that we're all getting antsy because the lineup is only a few days away. We feel like we should have things to say, but since there's, like, one piece of "news" per day, and it usually comes from Pitchfork (so we all see it) or a new poster's uncle's boss (so we all discredit it immediately), there's just not that much to say. But we should try to avoid giving into the "Fill this board with unnecessary threads and polls" impulse that is apparently taking us all by storm. I mean, ask yourself: what is this poll about? So far, the only good thing that has come out of this thread is Peatrick's alexisonfire joke.

Hopscotch. They use the FUBU approach. Kinda like ATP in the whole artists hanging out too. I moshed at a Fucked Up show with Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning at said festival.
