That is every other corner on party nights in Austin at 1:45 am. I was watching pretty much the exact same thing on the same corner Halloween last year. That guy in the black shirt is such a jackass. If you don't want to Dr. Garbanzoht because you think it stupid then good for you, but don't kick the guy after someone else knocks him out. The only jackass I see in the video (aside from the perpetrator) is the guy who knocked him out. All sorts of guy rules where broken with that punch. |

Meh.... if the asshole is going to try to engage two guys who obviously don't want to be involved, then someone else involving themselves without being engaged is fair game. I was part of a similar thing years ago in front of the bar I worked at, except it was a girl that a guy slapped. I didn't turn him around and inform him that I was going to f.i.g.h.t him. I knocked the piece of shit out.

Ya, I just totally disagree with that.
But I think my point was more that the guy clearly was acting tough afterwards, like he was some expert KO master --I've never knocked a guy out, but I'm betting it is easier when they aren't looking and don't see it coming.

If the other two in any way looked like they were willing to Dr. Garbanzoht him, then I would agree with you. But if some drunk fuckhead is going to act all tough and try to pick on not one, but two people who don't want to be involved, then he deserves the same treatment.
*edit I'm refering only to him being knocked out. Not the posturing or the other guy trying to stomp him while he's already out.

There are so many things wrong with this, including everything mentioned above, but the part that bothered me the most was the lack of assistance in the end. Sure he was a dick but come on people?!
I've been in a similar situation before (forced to Dr. Garbanzoht- not proud of it, just had no choice) and when all was said and done I still made sure that someone checked the guys head right away after he hit the concrete. What the hell was going on here?? Dozens of cell phone pics before anyone checked to see if he needed serious medical attention. Disappointing.
