I am sooooo excited for the USA vs. Panama game tonight. I was bummed that I couldn’t justify buying tickets to the game but I really love watching Seattle host big time games on TV. Evans and Johnson get to show off the national team uniforms in front of all of their hometown fans. It should make for an exciting night of soccer!

Luckily my old man is just as big of a soccer fan as I am, so he splurged and bought us a pair for the match tonight. Needless to say, I'm fucking STROKED.

Getting pretty impatient. I have the Sounders game recording and am currently waiting on some late ass people to get here so I can start it...grrr I haven’t seen the lineup yet but I am curious what they are going to do with E.J. and Evans. I am hoping they put them in the positions they were playing for USA (outside mid/right back) because I don’t want to fuck with Neagle and Oba’s chemistry. What a cool problem to have |

Just caught the last 15 minutes of the Confederation Cup semi-final match between Brazil and Uruguay. That was some itense action. I can't wait for the Wolrd Cup. Tomorrow has Italy up against Spain in the other semi-final. Brazil vs. Italy/Spain in the final is going to be ridiculous.

That game felt so damn good tonight. I have been having a fit over here about our recent form. We have been winless in the last 7 games. Loved seeing the fire/passion tonight. Yeah, so our keeper got a red card. Big whoop. Hahnemann is to Gspurning is the same as Jackson is to Wilson. #soundersfc and #Seahawks have the best backups in the business. Well, the USA has a tough road in Brazil. Put in the same group as Ghana, Germany and Portugal. ALSO, they have the longest travel schedule during the group stage. Oh well, we beat Portugal in 2002 and we owe Ghana one. We beat Germany in a friendly this year but, ya know, that was a friendly.

Even if we don't get past the group stage, at least we get to watch 3 highly anticipated games instead of a bunch of blowouts followed by getting blown out ourselves. I love me some World Cup.
