Do you think we'd get hassled for having a portable propane campfire thing? I've brought a propane heater the past two times I've gone and didn't hear a word about it. I had random people showing up to my campsite to warm up and that was actually pretty cool. Just make sure the flames aren't too visible and you'll be fine.

Does anyone here have a solar charger? And if so, do they work well?

So I am just wondering what are the chances of heavy rain at the festival? The reason I ask is because I have a mediocre tent with little rain protection (will survive light rain but no heavy showers) so I am wondering how likely it is to rain at the Gorge? I am a newbie to Sasquatch

It rained pretty heavily on the last day of the fest in 2013. I'd say it's best to prepare for rain, just in case.

Next question....have you guys ever heard of anyone putting a lock on their tent while they're away from the campsite? I know your thinking, but what good would a lock do, if anyone really wanted to get into your tent they could slash it, but i have been to a few festivals now where people's tents were "broken" into, and while they kept no valuables in their tents they did get their clothes stolen, yes their clothes!!!! So people started putting locks on their tents, as a deterrent more than anything else

A lock on a tent would just be bait to break in if someone thinks there is anything valuable in the tent.

We did this last year at a music festival in BC, because the year prior my friend's tent was looted. Trust me, the hassle of trying to find a little key in the dark or remember a combination far outweighs the benefits. Within a day my sister and I had lost both keys and the lock.
My method that (knock on wood) has been pretty successful has been just to take everything out of my bag and spread it around the tent. If it's not an easy grab-and-go it seems to deter thieves. And yah, valuables locked in your car's glove compartment

My group is planning on using dry ice this year and would rather not transport it from Vancouver Island. We always stop in Ellensburg for our groceries and I was wondering if there are any places to get dry ice there!
Google says Safeway has it but I don't recall them having it previous years. Has anyone getting any there before?
Thanks!

I bought dry ice last year at Fred Meyer in the Berg. Buying 8LBS was enough for 3 days to keep stuff frozen. They sell it for $1 a LBS and come in 8-10LBS chunks.

Where do you put all that stuff like in a schoolbus or something and why are you shaving at Sasquatch?

That all fits in a car. You just need to be really good at packing and i don't shave but others might want to.

Can someone help answer this?
There are 7 of us going to Sasquatch and we have two camping passes for the seven of us.
Can 5 of us in one car head up earlier and use both camping passes to get two spots together, but still receive the second parking pass to hand to the other two people when they arrive?
In other words, can we go up separately with the two camping passes, hand our friends the receipt for one of the camping spots we have (which would not yet have the one vehicle in it), and they would still be able to get in and park in the second camping spot?
Our friends needed to come up a few our later than us but we wanted to make sure we could still get two spots next to one another.
I'm basically asking if you need to have a car to use your camping pass, as well as if I can take the receipt (the rear view mirror tag) for the second camping spot and hand the voucher to the second car so that they can come park in the second spot.
Thank you!

Can anyone shed any light on the shower situation in general camping?
-Are they communal? -Is some sort of footwear recommended? -General cleanliness of them? -General dress code? (neked or wah?) -Best time to go to avoid big line-up?
Thanks

In three years of Sasquatch I've had exactly two showers, baby wipes will be your friend. I haven't really found a great time for shorter line ups, in 2013 I think I went early afternoon and it wasn't terrible.
Yes shoes. Yes naked. There's a row of showers in a trailer but individual stalls. No time limit but ladies let's be reasonable. I think it's $3
