Hey everyone! I am excited about this year's festival. Could anyone give me the 411 on families? Is there any area for families? My girlfriend, my 2 year old and I are wondering.
Thanks!

The Sasquatch camp ground is about the least family-friendly place. There are VIP options and very expensive premier camping options, and I can't speak for them but I imagine they're slightly better suited to families. But on the whole, I would recommend finding a hotel or a babysitter.

The 411 is man, having to carry a 2 year old around for the weekend really puts things like "Aw man, I don't wanna hold my hoodie all day until it gets cold" in perspective.

Do NOT bring a two year old to Sasquatch.

Ya, I would be worried about bringing my toddler to Sasquatch (if I had one)... but if you're gonna do it, a hotel or maybe Wildhorse would be the best option.

No just don't, period. You are a bad parent if you bring a two yr old to Sasquatch.

Let's hope no Animal Collective is there for you then, because babies hate Animal Collective.

I would get a hotel and stake out a spot on the hill with a blanket.

I would get a hotel and stake out a spot on the hill with a blanket. After finding a sitter for your infant. Twelve hours, exposed to the elements, with music much too loud for baby ears. Your baby doesn't want to go to Sasquatch.

I don't think I'd take any child to a festival. They'd get fussy and ruin your experience.

I would pay a relative anything to mot ahve to take a kid that age to Sasquatch. In my personal and conservative opinion, I would not take a kid younger than 16 there.
2 years ago they even had a live sex show on the hillside that everyone at the main stage could see.

I KNEW the Decemberists planned that. I mean "the wanting comes in waves" it was too coincidental.

Don't listen to all that. Sasquatch is not the most family friendly festival we have been to (Cochella and High Sierra def have them beat in this regard) but...we brought our 1.5 yr old last year and she had a blast. Had premier camping and an RV- was awesome. No RV this year but premier camping for sure and we will be bringing our 2.5 yr old and 6 mo old. Hotel might be totally worth it. We will probably have a huge Tajmahal tent in Premier. Definitely buy and make your kid wear the baby noise reduction headphones, bring a backpack/ stroller, lots of healthy snacks and drinks (they do not question you about baby food), sunscreen, hats, etc and you will be good to go. Music and dancing is great for babies and toddlers and we were able to find a few other families with young kids to hang with. We mostly chilled on the lawn area stage left. Ya, there is some debauchery (e.g. a bunch of drugged 20 somethings) but whatever. You might have to call it an early night on occasion, but it is worth it. People who hate b/c you bring your kid to festivals are just bitter (and jealous since their parents were squares). Most other music festivals are very family friendly. This one is just behind the times.
