Only about a third of the way in, but hasn't achieved the mind melding frequency bending filthiness of their essential mix yet. But it's definitely good and Noisia is right near the top of my list for acts that I haven't seen yet that I must.

Margot & The Nuclear So and So's - Rot Gut, Domestic I can't stop listening to 'Books About Trains' from this album. Love it. It's as if The Posies were listening to Gimme Shelter on repeat for a week then wrote a song with Brand New.

Port of Morrow is great, in spite of its idiotic title. Y'all are nuts.

Yep I really like it. So does my mom, apparently. She was blasting it when I got to het house yesterday. Not bad for a 56 year old.

After about 5 or so listens, I'm finally at the point to say I'm fairly satisfied with the new Miike Snow album... I still haven't gotten to that point with the new Shins album yet.

I know people who claim Miike Snow as their favorite band. I know people who came all the way to Sasquatch solely on the strength of Miike Snow. They played a full set at the Hawthorne Theater two days before that year, why pay three hundred dollars and drive five hours to see them play a 30 minute set in the daylight?
I do not understand any of these things.

I don't understand spelling Miike with two i's. I read that they took it from Takashi Miike (one of my favourite directors) because he's their fave director. So naturally I assumed that meant they pronounced it correctly and was calling them Me-eck-eh Snow to people, only to discover they pronounce it Mike, which irritates me to no end 'cause if you're gonna say you named yourself after your favourite director, you should pronounce it right!

I always figured the extra I was in there because they wanted to make it sound as if an announcer were saying it.
