Listen. I8. Hasn't Arcade fire played Sasquatch 2 times? Modest mouse - 3 Times. Those are cool Ideas to have them back again? And did I write off any headliners? ? where does it say that I wrote off those headliner to quote your own words "because you, in your head, decided to interpret that singular statement in a way that doesn't exactly conform to reality." I am not saying Arcade Fire will not be there or the other bands that I listed. I am Just holding out hope for a headliner that will be something special. Adam Zack has built up Anticipation for this 10 Anniversary Festival. That was my Point. And since when is something that is written not open for interpretation. You took liberties with what I said, espeicially saying that Arcade fire is not a realistic headliner. When it is obvious, I meant that they do not fit the bill with " cool Ideas", because they have been there before. But when AZ makes a statment like that I automatically think there is going to be some differences or changes to this years Sasquatch. When I read the Adam Zacks, quote last year, I immediately thought Radiohead, that is my interpretation, someone else might have thought differently.

Even if the guy didn't see the lineup odds are he's right. Basically he just said "it's a lot like last year but not quite as good." I've been saying don't expect big headliners or reunions for months and I have no inside knowledge at all from Adam Zacks own Mouth........... "2011 is the festival’s 10 year anniversary. We’ve been stockpiling a list of cool ideas with the intent of unleashing them next year." So there has to be something on the horizon. Doesn't have to be big, But it has to be different. Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse , Wilco doesn't fit the bill, (although I am a fan of the Bands) They seem the same old sasquatch.

" There is an Arcade Fire thread on here somewhere, but just listen to (Antichrist Television Blues) off Neon Bible. It may not change your mind, but it at least ups the energy level a bit." So you know what I'm talking about when I say they sound like they have zero energy/enthusiasm? It's obvious you have not seen them Live, if you see them at Sasquatch, you will change you mind.

Another thing, if you look at the time line, he said he had the lineup 2 weeks before the announcement, There is no way Sasquatch would give the lineup that far in Advance for fear of it leaking out.
To prove that, Last year, do you remember that Cos tweeted that they Just received the lineup and it was very good. That happened the afternoon of the Launch Party.
So I wouldn't believe him Just yet.
Only 3 more sleep till we know for sure.

So this superfiction guy said he saw the lineup last year, but with the actual lineup came out, it had better names than he thought they were going to have.
This year he said he saw the lineup and there are no big headliners.
He is also being very Vague, it's almost like he can retract any statement he makes, when the lineup comes out.
So............ It must be true. He knows something.

Oh man, I'm still not over the idea of Radiohead playing this year. Please stop getting me exited for Pulp. I still haven't given up given up on Radiohead either, I know it is unlikely but if they are ever going to play Sasquatch, it is going to be this Year.

There has to be some crossover. Somebody has to play Sasquatch.
I just can't get over how good the lineups are for primavera.

All I can find is 25K but I heard when the Cure played in 2008, there was 35K because the tickets from the cancelled concert were good for that day.
I think 25k is the right figure, but it would not surprise me if it was 30k.

but our headliners from last year are like 7 and 12 on there...that doesn't bother you at all? That tells me that they saved their money for this Year, or that live nation is greedy. I tend to think it is a bit of both. look coachella can get any act in the world but look at their lineup this year. Coachella knew they could sell out the festival without getting big names, sasquatch knew the same Last year. But this is the 10 year anniversary, they have to make it memorable.

I agree with you HG.
(Never thought that would come out of my mouth.)
And the Hangout festival is limited to 35000 people, sasquatch at 25-30000 people with a higher ticket price should net a bigger Headliner than Foo Fighters.

The more I think about it i think your right. I put them as a strong Possibility on the headliner thread. and yes........ pulp would be one of those Headliners that WOULD BE AWESOME

I added Pulp as A strong possibility, In talking with others on a different thread,it makes sense for sasquatch to get Pulp. Pulp won't be at Coach or bonnaroo this year, and Just like MA last year , if would a strong UK act that would be Different.
Plus fying from Primavera, has been done before and their next date in June 10 in U.K, so there is a small window.

pulp would be one of those Headliners that sasquatch usually looks for in terms of being different. They are not playing coachella or Bonnaroo, so.... there is a chance.

it's an awesome lineup, Peter Gabriel would be amazing. I predicted he would be there last year but , alas I was disappointed.
my list:
headliners
1) Arcade Fire 2) Soundgarden 3) Pheonix
wild card
1) radio head.
Subs
1) Queens of the stone age. 2) the Black Keys 3) Bright Eyes 4) Pixies
rest of lineup-
1) Iron and Wine 2) the Decemberists 3) Cold War Kids 4) Twin Shadow 5) Cee lo Green 6) Hot chip 7) Sleigh Bells 8) Titus Andronicus 9) Fist Full of Mercy 10) Empire of the sun 11) Neon Indian 12) Yeasayer 13) les savy Fav 14) Thermals 15) The Greenhornes 16) Chromeo 17) Johnny and Jenny 18) Zola Jesus
Had to put RadioHead for my Wildcard.
QOTSA Sub'n for the Foos makes too much sense.
Pixies as a sub because, I couldn't think of any other Sub Headliner.

honestly, i don't know why i put Belle & Sebastian and Pulp both on my list... other than the fact that it'd be absolutely insane if they both took the Primavera Magic Jet to Sasquatch and played. I think Belle and Sebastian is more Likely, they cancelled their June 3 show in denmark. Pulp is playing June 10 in the U.K, I think that is too much trvel to go back and forth. in a week and a half.
