They are fucking amazing live. I've seen them 12+ times, all around the Seattle area (and once at 'squatch) and had the time of my life every time. They used to come out on stage in dresses, and at their Sasquatch show, they threw around 25 of those inflatable "Fuck Me" dolls out into the crowd. They're just fun.

Blindsight is stellar. Nihilistic and dark and totally perfect hard sci fi. I've had Cloud Atlas on my radar for a while now too. But I think I have to read Under the Dome first.
Just finished Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston, a gorgeous memoir, and recently finished Notes of a Native Son by James Baldwin. Also read To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf a bit ago, and listened to the audiobook of Embassytown by China Mieville. Currently listening to Existence by David Brin.

J Dawg wins the internet. Has anybody looked at that guy's website? I could spend days on there. He hasn't even talked about board games here...that's how interesting he is. He can be interesting on the board and still have entire sections of his life that he doesn't have to tap.
