I might be alone on this but both times I have seen Wilco live they have been great. Nels Cline destroys on guitar.

Just looked at setlist.fm and she usually closes her sets with this song. This really surprises me.

Yeah kind of a bummer that Friday is sold out. This is why I am fine with mid-sized headliners. They do not have to half-ass the under-card. This day should have at least been half priced with this line-up. Charge the same for 1/6th the bands. Only thing that I find really disappointing about the fest this year.

Whoa now, let's be careful when we talk about Rival Schools. That's an unexpected but respectable 'get' for the festival. I keep meaning to check these guys out. The name sounds very familiar. Can you suggest a good sample?

Did you just call Dylan's body of work 'broad'? Influential up to a point (a point which falls roughly fifteen years ago), but broad? Dude did one thing over and over and over again; does it still. I'd say songwriters of the moment are more heavily influenced by, like, Burt Bacharach and Harry Nilsson than Bob Dylan. I wouldn't say he has been doing the same thing over and over again at all. Just look at the traditional folk albums he started with to the more rock influenced albums he went towards. The music he is playing these days are pretty much straight up blues albums. Go to a Dylan show and he reworks his catalog to the sound he is currently playing. Sometimes this amazing and sometimes it is bewildering. I saw him once and did not recognize some of my favorite songs until a minute in.

I'll just tell you to shut up because you're missing the point entirely. Alright that is fair enough. What is the point that I am missing then? I do apologize if this is an inside joke that I am not getting.

I have seen him play a few times and each time he has put on a very professional show. Sure he was a bit drunk the first time I saw him but he didn't sound off or mess up any songs. Last time I saw him with Monsters of Folk I don't think he had a drink.
If you don't like an act don't watch it. Trying to ruin the experience for people who do is just a really petty move. I really dislike City and Colour but there is no way I would miss seeing a band I do enjoy to try and ruin the weekend for a fan.
Now you can tell me I should shut up because I have a low post count.

Shit got so real yesterday. Like really real. I kind of forgot that my friend Candi has the hugest fucking boner for Conor Oberst; I don't really know how to tell her that I don't know her well enough to call off the WRONG KID DIED thing. Or you could just go watch one of the other three acts that will be playing at the time. Why waste the energy watching an act you have no interest in?

So now there is only 5 bands playing on Friday with the same ticket price as the other days? How much did the freaking Foo Fighters cost???

I kind of assumed that there will be a few more bands on Friday since the door is at 3. If the bands started playing at 4 ish, wouldn't that allow for couple more bands on each stage? Maybe I'm being too optimistic You would hope so considering the tickets are just as expensive.

Time to start praying that Archer's of Loaf and the Flaming Lips don't play at the same time.

I'm happy. I wasn't expecting Radiohead sized bands. Soft Bulletin and Archers of Loaf? Yes please.

so that lineup that was posted by that shhhh person. why wouldnt it be feasible? too many headliners on it? where? Foo Fighters/Pixies/Arcade Fire/Kanye West/The Postal Service Plus Phoenix + The Black Keys AND Chemical Brothers? Not that it wouldn't be awesome if it was true, but really? Also I am pretty sure Pedro The Lion do not exist anymore since David Bazan lost his faith. Don't get me wrong I would love to be wrong.
