I stayed in premiere and the staff tried to make us re-park closer but we told them to eat it. They didn't really fuck with us too much. We still had very minimal space, but luckily we knew our neighbours and were able to encroach on their space a lot. Next year it's wildhorse for sure. Premiere was not really worth it this year, in my opinion.

i've met lisa a few times before in non-concert settings, and she's pretty low key to begin with. i didn't notice that she seemed indifferent, but i guess i was just enjoying the set too much to care. also keep in mind that she's pretty new to the bss thing, and her other band does not tour, so there could still be some nervousness.

If you had perused the board beforehand you would have noticed that the food is commonly referred to as feces. feces on a stick, deep fried feces, feces noodles, etc. next time do yourself a favour and bring tons of good food with you. this year i managed to only eat food i brought with me, and saved some serious dough.

Some friends who saw it from the hill said it wasn't great, but it blew my mind way the fuck open. The new songs sounded amazing, and of course Matt did his patented crowd walk.

1. The National (having been able to scream "my mind's not right" into the mic at the same time as Matt was incredible) 2. New Pornographers 3. BSS 4. Patrick Watson 5. Dirty Projectors

Have you guys all sorted out your driving plans, and you know around when you're going to arrive? Any help at all would be really appreciated. Thanks again, you can PM me for contact info.

Saturday: Mumford & Sons, Patrick Watson, BSS, The National, MMJ 5 of my top ten for sure. Plus just the mystique around the first day, and some people actually want to party after the show that day!

I recently posted this in another thread:
Saw Freelance Whales in Vancouver on Friday. They played opener for Shout out Louds. I was/am pretty into their album. Their live show was good, but not great. Could have just been some issues with sound mixing, but things just seemed out of whack. The lead singer was inaudible for some parts of the songs just due to the volume of the bass drum. They played a pretty good opener set though, probably 7 songs or so. Generator First Floor, and Broken Horse being the highlights for me. I've got them conflicting with the xx on Sunday, so I'll probably just see the first 20 minutes and then take off.
So, I think they are worth checking out for at least 20 minutes. A little electro-poppy at points, but pretty fun.

yeah, last year there was pretty much no one partying saturday, sunday or monday. still small things going on, but not as much walking around site to site clanking beers and giving high-fives.

Chances are...nil. She's touring with Metric right now. She'll be in between Europe and Australia at that point. Lisa Lobsinger is pretty incredible in her own right, and WILL be there.

oh yeah, I don't think they ever "close the gates" persay and not let people in. We arrived around 9 last year and the line-up was insane getting into the campground, but people arrived all night long. It wasn't fun setting up in the dark though.

Their live performances seem to be very much more intense. For instance the performance of Terrible Love on Jimmy Fallon is (at least for me) way better than the album version. I can say the same thing about this version of Afraid of Everyone. Regardless, the set at Sasquatch is going to be amazing. By far, my most anticipated show of the weekend.

nuggets of info? I'll trade those nuggets of info for a useable, visually appealing schedule. How difficult would it be to integrate a spredsheet view into that scheduling program? Regardless, I'm glad it's finally online.

Seriously, BTTF2 is incredible. The pizza hut super growing pizza scene is incredible. Also the hover-board...come on, who didn't want one of those?
