Boy, I badly want to believe that Grizzly Bear rumor. Wish it was a little more solid, but I'll take it with a grain of salt. If they and Animal Collective are on the bill, that's enough for me to buy tickets right freakin' now.
Oasis were never that good and are now totally past their prime. Do they really sell many albums anymore? I just can't see them having a big following in the Northwest. I say no way Adam Zacks is going to pay out the nose for someone like that to headline.

Seems like there was some criticism of last year's lineup due to the fact so many of the bands had played previous 'Squatches. Personally, I think that's something they need to watch out for, cause it's one way for a fest to get stale in a hurry (especially for those of us who've been to virtually all of them). Therefore, I think (and hope) they avoid the Modest Mouses, Neko Cases, and Ozomatlis of the world and get some new blood to the Gorge. I look at any currently hot or established alternative / indie bands they haven't played Sasquatch in the past as prime suspects. Some of you have already mentioned a bunch of them (Dan Deacon, Sonic Youth, Franz Ferdinand, Animal Collective, Vampire Weekend, etc..)
Other Sasquatch Newbies I'd like to see: LCD Soundystem No Age Deerhunter Girl Talk Les Savy Fav Q-Tip (always some good hip-hop, and his album last year was great) White Denim Times New Viking Pinback Of Montreal Jesus Lizard (reunion tour) Caribou
Some repeats are inevitable (and desirable), but here's to hoping the grand majority of bands will be playing their first Sasquatch.

Just please, please let that Animal Collective rumor be true. That's all I want.

Nah, Premier was sold out long ago. You're stuck in "regular" camping unless you can buy Premier passes from someone else.

EarCandy rocks. Thanks Travis. I'd be there if I lived in Seattle....

Lauren,
I think you'll be ok with that pass. You might want to email Live Nation to make sure, but when I asked them, they said there would be no problem using a car, even though I had an RV pass. I would think it would work the other way around as well. Anyway, I'd contact them before going through the trouble of selling.

There is lots more room out in the meadow for sure, and the Plaza was just too small. Only negative is that the field seems to slowly slope away from the stage a bit, so it can be a little hard to see from the back.

Lidell > Mars Volta for me personally. He's incredible.
So anyone notice the official website posted times next to each artist? I haven't gone through them all, but it looks like the early schedule we got was pretty accurate.
Also, Christmas on Mars is apparently showing in the "Movie Tent".

Excellent. Now where's yours so I can rip on it? I'm glad to see people agreeing with me on Ozomatli. I saw them on the mainstage last year and thought "what are they doing at Sasquatch?" Just struck me as run-of-the-mill rock / rap combo that was cool 10 years ago. And all the dumb jumping around and loud banter just didn't work, IMO. And Tom, I'd say that if you like Ghostland Observatory, it's no surprise that you don't like Fleet Foxes. They could hardly be more different.

To help pass the time before the fest FINALLY starts, give me the top 5 artists you're most excited to see, and 3 you could care less about. Should lead to some fun debate and discussion.
5 I can't wait to see:
The National New Pornographers Steve Malkmus and the Jicks Fleet Foxes Flight of the Conchords
3 I'll be in the beer garden for:
Ozomatli Micheal Franti Death Cab

Wow, I hope this is the real thing (I've seen the scan of the magazine, and I think it is), cause it couldn't be any better for me. Aside from Battles vs. Flight of the Conchords, no major conflicts at all.

Premier Camping Pass for Sunday and Monday nights. Willing to sell at face value ($120). Purchased for an RV, but I'm fairly certain you can take a car or SUV. Email shucky1716@yahoo.com if interested. Thanks!

Not sure if it helps, but I have a 2 day Premier Camping Pass (Sunday and Monday nights) that I'm willing to sell (my friends and I decided to go a different route). It's for an RV spot, but you could probably use it for a car too. (I'm guessing there are fewer RV spots).
I'd sell it for exactly what i paid ($130). shucky1716@yahoo.com if interested.

Turns out my negative review was outdated. I stayed there in 2001, and they have apparently done a lot of expanding and renovations. Actual grass now! I'm staying there myself. Hope I didn't dissuade you.

It's nothing special. Kinda ugly and cramped if I remember. Just a square of land out in the middle of a field. But it's passable, especially for that price.

Can you buy a two night premiere and then one one night premiere? That is what we did last year, and it totally worked. It doesn't appear that you can. You can buy 24-26, 25 & 26, or just 26th on the ticketmaster site. I have a 25 & 26 Premier tickets, but there's no way to by the 24th by itself at all.
You have to buy 3 day camping passes, but buy the rebatable option. That when, you leave the campgrounds before Monday night, they will give you $40 back.
I guess that could work for my situation too. Leave standard campground after first night - get rebate for other two nights - check into premier for the second and third nights.

Crap. I really wanted premier camping, but the 3 day passes were all gone, so I bought a 2 day spot (for the 25th and 26th). But I'm going all 3 days of the concert, and it doesn't appear I can buy camping for just the 24th. Anyone have any ideas? Why wouldn't they sell that night individually?

At this point, I'd think any bands that are added would NOT play on Monday. The other two days have less acts at this point, so you'd think they'd try and even 'em up. Just a guess.
Also, I love the Constantines. They were awesome in 06 during the hail. I'd love to see them return.
