This is one long-ass last song by Atlas Sound. Or maybe he's done and they're tearing down.

No one loves Atlas Sound more than me but I'm ready for him to call it a night. On with the damn lineup!

"smaller and less rocking", he says. Hilarious.

in my vast experience in bars, hosts of things LOVE using the phrase "in a few minutes" because it keeps people excited and doesn't really mean anything at all. Bing. Go.

How can it be a few minutes if Atlas Sound just started? It's hard to see them doing it in the middle of the set....

We're not hearing crap until midnight. That's my prediction.

No problem. We'll probably all crash it now!

What a cluster. On twitter, there's at least 2 saying first 4 have been announced and are Soundgarden, Pixies, Orbital, and New Porns. Who the hell knows.

When has there ever been a repeat headliner at Sasquatch? Never. Ben Harper, and really Nine Inch Nails co headlined last year, so twice. But DJ is a strong word. Right now I think it's an intern who is on the air, they don't have a full show or anything. My bad. I meant two years in a row. That's never happened.

I didnt hear it myself, but a buddy of mine told me a dj on the end just hinted at KoL.... When has there ever been a repeat headliner at Sasquatch? Never.

MMJ makes a ton of sense, but I wouldn't be surprised if Gorillaz agreement with Coachella precludes them from playing other festivals, especially other west coast festivals. Just a guess.

So many bands kicked ass this year, it's hard for me to narrow 'em down. But here goes:
1. Bon Iver - a stunning, moving, beautiful performance. See the YouTube videos if you missed it.
2. Blitzen Trapper - I'd heard how great they were live, and they didn't disappoint. The best sounding band I saw all weekend without a doubt.
3. Grizzly Bear - Love to hear those dudes sing.
4. Girl Talk - What a party.
5. Calexico - Shocked by how much I enjoyed this set. Who'd have thought Joey Burns was such a showman.
Honorable Mention: Walkmen, TV on the Radio. Fleet Foxes, and Gorgol Bordello (I only saw a few minutes of them cause of the conflict with Blitzen Trapper, but it looked incredible).
Yours?

I've never stayed in Premier Camping myself, but I think you'll be good to go there. There's a large fence separating the Premier camping from the general grounds. Will you hear stuff? Sure. But it'll be much, much better.
As for the Wildhorse, you can arrive starting Friday morning. Friday night comes as part of the deal.

Magicmat - I feel your pain. Was a big problem for me as well. Got no sleep = felt like ass. Now I rent an RV and stay at the Wildhorse, where they're much better about quieting things down.
For this year, your only hope is to and get a spot on the edge of the madness instead of the middle. That will help. But yah, you're probably gonna need to drug yourself.

I'm so loving this lineup. Sure, the headliners suck, but that's almost a plus in my book. You get back to the campground at 9:30 instead of 12:30. But Animal Collective, TVOTR, Grizzly Bear, Walkmen, Bon Iver, Blitzen Trapper, Calexico, and the WRENS!?!? That's the stuff of dreams for this lad.

I've been somewhat following this thread, so sorry if this has already been mentioned... What are the chances of Okkervil river making another appearance? Checking their website I can't access tour dates, but I know they have a new album coming out soon and are planning on doing festivals this year. Their album came out last fall and is awesome. I missed them last year too because of the sudden, unexpected conflict with the National, so I'd love for them to return as well.
