The 12 buck Molsons were a good way to see which people werent Canadian (or smart).
I just brought in ziplock bags of whiskey that i put in random pockets of my rainjacket, which was in my backpack. Worked like a charm.

It was quite impressive, I showed my friend and the first thing he said was " thats a whole lot of white people" Also, if you want a good laugh look up "Kid breaks his face to lcd soundsystem" on youtube. The part where he actually falls over the fence is hilarious, then all that comes after is just kinda sad. True, but the girl in the backpacks reaction is entertaining enough.

apparently being at the very front for LCD makes you unable to fully appreciate the "dance movements" the entire crowd did for "All My Friends", but now that I've seen the video, I have to admit, that was pretty crazy. I figured I would sit on the hill to eat on Saturday, but sadly I showed up right as OK GO started... Buh bye appetite. Waste of a chicken gyro (pronounced year-oh, not Jai-row).

Chicken fingers are always great, but they would probably be terrible if you didnt notice the BBQ in the ketchup bottle.
I would love it if they had more options and another area for food, maybe by the dance tent or something just to spread out the congestion.
The only real problem I had was that on monday I had to go to 3 stands to get coke for my ziplocked JD. First one was out of cups and the second one ran out of syrup or something.

i was so pissed when i got back to the campground after MGMT, i didn't know the new pornos were still playing at the bigfoot stage until i heard neko singing "mass romantic". did they do like a 2 hour set? I'm not sure how long their set actually ended up being but they did play an encore. Which was really nice to see after a weekend of short set times, I think they played Letter from an Occupant. I ran to the mainstage for Ween after and I'm sure it wasnt till after 10 when I got there.

1. New Pornographers - Skipping MGMT was my best (and easiest) decision of the weekend, they're incredible and it was great to see the whale back. 2. Seattle Rock Orchestra - Amazing set, so much energy from the crowd and the kids on stage. Too much fun. But did people not know about this? I was right up front and the whole time people were shocked at the Arcade Fire set. 3. Massive Attack - Sounded amazing. The light show was amazing, but not tacky and over the top so it didnt take away from the music. 4. LCD Soundsystem 5. The National
HM: Mumford and Sons sounded great. Brother Ali puts on a hell of a show Craig Robinson was hilarious Band Of Horses, not really a fan but they're style was very well suited for the Gorge and they sounded fantastic. Vampire Weekend dance party/congoline + every other band

1. The National 2. New Pornographers 3. LCD Soundsystem 4. Tallest Man On Earth 5. Portugal. The Man 6. No Age 7. Dead Mau5 8. Local Natives 9. Vampire Weekend 10. Japandroids
Seriously, that National/Hold Steady/Very Best conflict is going to ruin my weekend. The rest of the weekend is gravy, but that one is brutal.

It'd be sweet if Ezra Koeing dropped by the Very Best set for Warm Heart of Africa. Plus I've heard MMJ often has cameos and guests on stage. I was front and center for Wilsons Fleet Foxes intro a couple years and it was really exciting, I was actually convinced for half a second that Loverboy was playing... It would be kind of difficult seeing Ezra show up as they're slated to play at the same time in opposing sites... I think the cameos for both BSS and Massive Attack are going to be by far the likeliest outcome for the "surprise guests," otherwise collaborations between artists that are already scheduled could happen, (i.e. MGMT and Kid Cudi, or Kid Cudi and Band of Horses for that matter, even the far off possibility of a blood brothers reunion.) I'm hoping the "official" sched says differently because I'd really love to see both, cameo or not. Alot of stars could align for cameos this year, I really hope they get in the festival spirit.

I really wish either Caribou or Cymbals Eat Guitars was playing later. I wish they'd swap them with anything before 4pm.
