I was really hoping that Yeasayer did suck since I didn't make it to see them and I was relieved to see how few people put them in their top 5. Now that it's passed I don't think I would have traded that Modest Mouse performance for any other I saw over the weekend so no regrets.

I'm just not a dub step fan, several of my friends are though so I put up with it a lot but I just could not stand being at Skrillex. It was a combination of how !!! just blew my mind, the fact that Skrillex looks like a lesbian and that the mushrooms were starting to wear off. I stood there for like 3 songs and just shook my head, then I looked around at the crowd and decided that i did not belong there. Luckily Deerhunter was just a few hundred yards away and playing the music that catered most to my state of mind. I did all my freak dancing (I mean dancing like a freak) at !!!, I was over it.

1) Sleigh Bells (Crowd surfing, dripping sweat, moshing, dancing. The highlight of my weekend. These guys are fucking rock stars.) 2) Modest Mouse (The best I've ever seen them and I've never seen Isaac in such high spirits. It was tough to skip Yeasayer but they made it worth it. I loved how they started with Shit Luck.) 3) !!! (Finally got all my friends to see them, turned them all into fans. One of the best live bands around. "We don't make the rules at these festivals, we just rock them." True.) 4) Local Natives (When they played the Bigfoot stage last year I told all my friends that they would be a main stage act in two years. They proved me wrong and did it in one. I was happy to be at what they said was their biggest show thus far. Bright future for these guys.) 5) Beach House (I'm in love.)
Honorable Mentions
Twin Shadow (So glad I went in early Monday, they really put on a good show.) Chromeo- (Fun, fun, fun.) Flaming Lips (Obviously Wayne talked too much but come on, there's nothing like a Flaming Lips show. This is the third Sasquatch I've seen them at and it's always special.) Deerhunter (So happy to close out my weekend with Braford and the boys. The Helicopter/He Would Have Laughed finale was really gorgeous.)
Who Sucked
Friday (Seriously, Friday was crap.) Skrillex (Seriously, Skrillex is crap.)

This will be my third time seeing the Lips at Sasquatch. They are one of my favorite bands and their live show is fucking rad. Soft Bulleting is one of my favorite albums of all time, I can't wait to see them to recreate it. Has anyone else tested out 2 Blobs Fucking? I tried a bunch of different variations with 2 macs and 2 iPhones. It's pretty awesome. Shows off the Lips' genius and creativity.

I really hope Major Lazer isn't playing during Flaming Lips. Major Lazer seems like a super fun time but I wouldn't miss The Soft Bulletin for anything.

Can you not get tickets at the showbox? I was actually going to the box office tomorrow to pick up Cut Copy and Crystal Castle tickets. I was hoping they would be capable of handing out tickets for it there.

I don't get why it was funny. I thought the point was they were performing the launch party because they wouldn't be able to perform at Sasquatch. Both of those acts were at Primavera if I'm not mistaken and then both played Bumbershoot. It's not like they weren't big enough names to play Sasquatch.

Arcade Fire have announced that they are headlining the Benicàssim festival in Spain on July 17th of '11. With this and all the Coachella rumors surrounding them it could be early indication that they are doing the festival circuit like LCD Soundsystem has done the past year. Also at Key Arena Win Butler hinted that we would be seeing more of them soon...

Is everyone kind of assuming that Cut Copy hits all the festivals (including Sasquatch) after they drop their new album and finish their Australian/European tour? Sure hope so.
And what about Hot Chip? They didn't even come close to touching the Northwest on their previous tour. Maybe they were just waiting for Sasquatch to say hi.

I like how I don't peek my head at the boards for a couple months and when I do every thread becomes a fucking Modest Mouse bashing thread.
I really like the Twin Shadow album. One of my favorite new bands and I would really like to see them perform at Sasquatch.
Not so hard...

I agree that Arcade Fire is probably a lock for a headliner. Cut Copy and The Walkmen both have albums coming out and they would be awesome as sub-headliners. I've got my fingers crossed for Hot Chip since their current tour has no Northwest dates. As for smaller acts I agree Surfer Blood should and probably will be there (they've been everywhere else.) Major Lazer would be another great addition, I'm not crazy for their music but I watched their set online for Pitchfork and it looked like the most fun ever. Other possibilities include Sleigh Bells, Best Coast, Beach House (please) Die Antword, !!!, Yeasayer, Deerhunter, Blonde Redhead and Of Montreal. As for the BIG ones, I'm leaning on the side of optimism that Radiohead will close out the festival in epic fashion. I could see Belle and Sebastian as a sub-headliner for Arcade Fire on either Saturday or Sunday working out nicely as well.
