New song (B Side?) "Staircase" via Live from the Basement www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFTLxkMmY4M&feature=shareI like it, and I like it better than say "Little By Little." I just don't know why they left a bunch of good stuff of King of Limps. That album wasn't tight enough to have to only be 8 songs and this and Supercollider could've definitely fit on the album somewhere. I jus dun gitit.

www.avclub.com/articles/dan-harmon-walks-us-through-communitys-second-seas,57085/1/ Incredible 4-part interview with Dan Harmon, executive produce/showrunner of Community, going into great depth with the behind the scenes and creative process behind every episode. It's amazing how honest he is for a show that just got picked up for a third season. It also proves that Harmon is probably the smartest and most dedicated showrunner in current comedy tv.

Midnight in Paris definitely is one of the most likeable movies i've seen in awhile. The film's subject matter (like most of woody's films) deals with literate and intellectual culture, but he's such a great comedic writer that even if you don't understand the references it's easy to enjoy and laugh just through the delivery. It reminds me when I watched the simpsons when I was really young. I didn't know who maynard g krebs was, but damned if I didn't laugh at the joke.

Alls I'm saying is that the movie was trying so hard to capture that wide eyed sense of wonder that 80's spielberg owned and in that regard it fell on it's face. It was even more frustrating because it had all the elements that could've made it special and either didn't use them or screwed them up. It's not terrible though, and has a bunch of cool sequences. I thought the train sequence (the one from the trailer -- no spoils guys) was kinda underwhelming though.
In the end JJ Abrams has good ideas but just isn't a very good screenwriter, or he didn't have the time/had studio pressure to rush this into production, to make this really great like it could've been.
Oh, and Elle Fanning is pretty amazing. Like unbelievably good for a kid her age.

Yeah well, in reference to Pink Martini I don't understand what any of those words mean. I don't think I've ever heard one of their songs. I'm not shitting on them, or glad I missed them (it obviously sounds like a really amazing show) but since I have absolutely no context of what Pink Martini or Storm Large is I'm not going to lose any sleep over missing them (...yet)

Saw Super 8 and didn't really like it. It was entertaining enough, but pretty lightweight all things considered. Nowhere near in the league of Goonies, ET, etc. of course it's nowhere in the league of those two movies - i'm just saying Super 8 reminded me of those two films. Of course it did, that what the movie was designed to do. It was an adventure movie starring 14 yr olds. It even had the freaking Amblin logo at the beginning.
