The pepper was layered with white rice, mozza cheese, brown rice, spinach, and asiago-romano blend cheese. I was disappointed because the brown rice barely cooked at all (i suppose there wasn't enough moisture between the cheese and spinach). I baked it for 2 hours at 350f. Have you ever done this before? I was hoping the pepper would stay a little firmer and soak up a little more flavour. I think next time I'll use a red pepper because at least they're sweeter.
The chicken was marinated with lemon juice, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, black pepper, and crushed red pepper. i sliced up some red pepper and marinated in the same thing minus the lemons juice, then rolled it in feta and asiago-romano before stuffing it in the side of the chicken. I was using a second/third/fourth hand recipe so i'm not sure if i forgot anything, but the chicken was pretty great.

1. Decemberists - The King is Dead 2. Okkervil River - I Am Very Far 3. Gil Scott Heron & Jamie XX - We're New Here 4. Iron & Wine - Kiss Each Other Clean 5. Radiohead - King of Limbs 6. Bon Iver - Bon Iver 7. Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues 8. Alex Turner - Submarine OST (EP) 9. O'Death - Outside 10. James Blake - James Blake
I'm probably forgetting a lot, and most of this ordering was random. King is Dead is definitely my #1 so far.
Edit: will have to re-listen listen to Destroyer. Didn't really feel it first time around. Zonoscope should probably be on my list too. Will listen to Panda Bear, WU LYF, and Man Man soon.

Any vancouver peeps been to the PNE forum for a show lately? I haven't been in years, but it sounded horrible last time I was in there*. Wondering if it's worth putting down the cash to see Portishead if the sound is going to suck balls. Deadmau5, Primus, Phoenix have played there in the last year so maybe they revamped the acoustics.
*Disclaimer: I was seeing Alexisonfire, who I hate, so it might've sounded horrible to me wherever.

Fuck yeah Heathers. Love that movie.
Rubber is fun, but don't you think it gets a little boring? In concept, i thought i'd never get tired of watching a telepathic tire killing people/animals, but I wish they'd come up with more interesting ways to do so. Also, I'm so fucking over movies/art that promote and celebrate randomness and pointlessness, and then blanket criticize everything else (for being pretentious i guess?). It's pretty juvenile. I do love the line "Why, in Oliver Stone's JFK, does the president get assassinated? NO FUCKING REASON" though. The ending is pretty badass too. As is the soundtrack. Stephen Spinella rules too. It's a good movie i guess.

Man, October is looking pretty amazing for shows in Vancouver. Here's what I'm trying to get tickets for so far:
Oct. 1 - Kaiser Chiefs Oct. 3 - Pains of Being Pure at Heart Oct. 4 - Girls Oct. 7 - Cut Copy Oct. 8 - Wild Beasts Oct. 12 - Stephen Malkmus Oct. 17 - Frank Turner Oct. 24 - Portishead Oct. 25 - Foo Fighters
and the end of september is looking awesome as well, Broken Social Scene, Bon Iver (who is sold out, and also playing the same night as James Blake and Pearl Jam. wtf?), and Arctic Monkeys and Smith Westerns.
