If there was ever a year that MBV would have gone over well, I'd probably say it was 2010. Considering it sold extremely well with Massive Attack, Ween, and My Morning Jacket as the headliners, I think that would have been their best shot at playing in front of a great crowd. Boy I love looking at the headliners from that year. Makes me pine for the days of yore.

Thanks for all the info! I wanted to go to the Seattle show(s), but it was going to cost too much with flights and hotels. IF you get a pre-sale code for the Grizz Stadium would you be willing to share it with me? Yeah I'm on the mailing list so hopefully see something. SWEET! Thank you.

GrizTix does presale codes too for most events. I signed up for the Ticketmaster Pre-Sale, but put Missoula on every option because I don't think I'll want to travel to the other cities. Hopefully I'll be able to get decent tickets for the Missoula show. Pearl Jam 2018 Tour Dates: 08/08 – Seattle, WA @ Safeco Field 08/10 – Seattle, WA @ Safeco Field 08/13 – Missoula, MT @ Washington Grizzly Stadium 08/18 – Chicago, IL @ Wrigley Field 08/20 – Chicago, IL @ Wrigley Field 09/02 – Boston, MA @ Fenway Park 09/04 – Boston, MA @ Fenway Park I've got the 10 Club to rely on and I signed up for the Ticketmaster Verified Pre-Sale (which worked out for me for The National). After those options run dry it's regular on sale or a secondary market, but I am not missing this show. Speaking of the general on sale, I saw Pearl Jam in 2003 at the Adams Center and Ticketmaster wasn't selling those tickets. Do you buy ticket for the stadium through TM or is there a ticket agency specifically selling for the Grizzly Stadium? Finally, is it a decent concert venue or typical of all stadium shows?

Work and family. I plan to get it done this weekend. It's driving me insane. I just made it to the other side, and what a fucking ride. That last 30 minutes was some of the most tense, suspenseful and unsettling things I've seen on TV, and that very last shot/sound just about made me shit my pants!

hey kids if you want some heavy bass check out the new fall out boy album they grow up so fast I hate this band! We went to a friends place this past weekend and they are huge Fall Out Boy fans. They played this album while were there and it is one of THE WORST albums I have ever heard. It's so bad that it makes their other albums sound good in comparison. JUST WRETCHED.

In preparation of the Oscars announcement I decided to catch up on some 2017 movies this past weekend. I watched Baby Driver, John Wick 2, Logan and Trainspotting 2, none if which were nominated for the for the top awards, but were all amazing.

Just start at Psalm 69 and work your way forward from there. They get a little weird (but not bad) around Filth Pig and Dark Side of The Spoon, then extremely fucking heavy again on their last few albums. Their work before Psalm 69 is worth checking out too. The Land of Rape and Honey and The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste are classics. Edit: Honestly those 2 albums hold more weight than post Psalm 69 stuff I'm the opposite. I was going to say start at Filth Pig and work your way back, but that's because I honestly haven't heard anything after Filth Pig. I'm mainly going because I have never seen them before and I'm sure Al Jourgensen is a fucking maniac on stage, plus Chelsea Wolfe is opening and I haven't seen her since Sasquatch.

Who in the hell is Sturgill Simpson? I've seen his name on a couple of festivals but never bothered to look further than that. Sounds like a new pop country singer or a fish you would catch in a lake or stream. Neither of which sound like a goid catch for Sasquatch! "country singer or a fish you would catch in a lake or stream" is actually fairly accurate. He's an "alternative" country singer, heavily praised by Pitchfork, etc. He is one of the few country singers I could see actually playing Sasquatch but certainly not headlining it. I see. Well in that case he might be an alright performer. Nothing wrong with a mid/lower tier country act. Jamey Johnson was pretty cool for a mid afternoon set when he played.

I think we'll get a late night Sturgill Simpson DJ set before he headlines the festival. Who in the hell is Sturgill Simpson? At least we had happy balloon-encrusted Sufjan to give us catharsis on Monday Or you were lucky enough to go into the abyss with Chelsea Wolfe That set was great. I can't wait to see her again when she opens for Ministry in April!

Deerhoof announced as the guest curator for Sled Island this year. Last year was fun. My random guesses that don't seem completely unreasonable and would make me very happy: Xiu Xiu, Venetian Snares (+ Daniel Lanois), Kelly Lee Owens, Mount Kimbie, Julie Byrne, Slowdive, Liars, Awkwafina, Girlpool... Sled Island is the best. I hope you’re right about Slowdive and Kelly Lee Owens! I would love to see The Afghan Whigs somewhere in the mix. Once again, not an unreasonable request.

You know what I'll throw this down. If the rest of the lineup is good, I'm totally ok with a Muse headlining spot. They're not the best, most complex, lauded musical group in history but they'd be a fun show. I enjoy headliners that fall into the category of "I wouldn't pay to see just them, so this is the only way I'd catch them live." Fuck me, I'd be pumped for Starlight and the Gorge. I agree with this! I saw them at Lollapalooza in 2007, when they were a decent enough band, and they put on a great live show. Haven't seen them since but I'm sure their live show is still as good as it was then, even if their albums are shit now. Too bad I won't be at Sasquatch this year though.

Please add
Shame - Songs of Praise
This reminds me of Iceage's last album, which one of my most played albums a couple of years back. Good stuff!

Nice to see this thread open for business again. Binge watched Twin Peaks Season 3 over the holidays and have one episode left. It is fucking amazing and better than I ever thought it would be. I'm also watching The Office again, because why not. How could you stop with one episode left?? Work and family. I plan to get it done this weekend. It's driving me insane.
