Canadians and their Sloan. I should look into this apparently. Yes! You should indeed look into Sloan. I would highly recommend Twice Removed, One Chord to Another, Action Pact and The Double Cross.

I'm glad to hear that you guys toughed it out for The Hold Steady. We were a fucking wet mess by the end of that show. There are not too many bands that I would stand in ankle deep water and downpours for, but The Hold Steady are one of them. It was worth it for sure. The highlight was that I finally got to hear them do "Slapped Actress" and "Banging Camp". They played "Slapped Actress" when I saw them at the Warehouse a couple of years ago, but while they were playing that song I was getting dragged out of the bar for throwing up on the stage and a bouncer (twice). It was a shit show, but worth it.

I've been keeping every ticket stub since roughly 2000. I wish I still had the ones from the 90's though. When it comes to concert memories my real passion lies in the collection of setlists. I try to get one from every show that I attend, if possible. I have collected roughly 100-150 setlists over the years and these two are my favourites. The first is R.E.M.'s setlist that I got from the 2008 Sasquatch festival. It was personally handed to me by Peter Buck. The second is the setlist I took off of The Flaming Lips stage in Calgary. I was chosen to dance on stage dressed up as a Teletubbie. They also let me keep the flashlight.

As if I haven't had enough live festival music in the last few days, I am now sitting here watching Metallica's ORION festival. It's pretty fun actually. Metallica may be self indulgent, but they are great live.

WHAT A FUCKIN' NIGHT!!!! It poured rain. We got soaked. Saw some great bands at The Palomino. Jesus Christ I love Camp Radio so much. If you're a fan of 90's power pop you should chedck them out. Olympic Plaza was a wet mess but amazing. The Dudes rocked hard, Stephan Malkmus bored the shit out of me and I saw one of the best Hold Steady shows EVER. Seriously. Amazing.
But what really kicked ass was that I FINALLY MET WOMP, SOULY AND FRIENDLY D.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a brief yet great experience.
You guys seem really great. Sorry I didn't see you after Palomino, but I hope to hang with all of you at some point in the future.
Womp, I have your number now so hopefully we can meet before a show or something.

Even though I've taken it easy this year, Sled Island has been a tonne of fun. Too bad it pretty much comes to an end tonight. So far I've been able to catch a few shows.
Wednesday night I saw Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet. Thursday was Cannon Bros., Feels Alright and Reigning Sound at the Republik. Last night I meant to see Craig Finn but ended up crashing instead.
Today we are heading to the Palomino for an afternoon show of Meisha & the Spanks, Cousins and Camp Radio. After that we are heading to the mainstage for The Dudes, Stephan Malkmus and the Jicks and THE HOLD STEADY. It'll be a great night to wrap up up the week, provided the rain lets up.
Hope you enjoyed Feist last night Womp!

That shot of the five of them in the empty office with Joan in the middle was amazing.
Yes that was an incredible scene for sure.

Self ware or not, it is still funny watching Pete get his ass kicked. He's probably the most despicable character on the show.
I enjoyed this season, but I always find the cliffhangers at the end of the season to be somewhat anti-climactic. I will always continue to watch the show, but I never lose sleep over what's going to happen in the coming seasons. Good stuff this season though

Bon Iver's set was great! Being that it was more stripped down, tt was an interesting contrast to the headlining set at Sasquatch, but enjoyable nonetheless.

There have been some great sets streamed thus far. Battles was incredible as usual. It was also nice to relive Sasquatch through Charles Bradley. Can't wait for Bon Iver tomorrow night.
Dispatch are turning out a nice set at the moment.

Does anyone watch The Killing? I always catch the last couple of minutes before Mad Men and it look's slightly intriguing.

Was anyone here wearing the silver one piece jumpsuit and a very real looking horse mask? That thing freaked me right the fuck out when I was walking away from John C. Reilly. Really, it did. I wanted to get a picture but was too afraid to ask.

That's what the article said. 8 episodes this summer and the remainder in 2013. Maybe they can't figure out how to end it?

No fucking way Walt makes it out alive. It sucks that we have to wait until 2013 to see how it all pans out. Why not just run the whole final season this summer?
