At first glance I am not finding too many conflicts, with the exception of early evening on Saturday (Algiers-Japandroids-PUP-White Reaper-Grizzly Bear). That a shitty grouping to have to get through. No Idea where I will end up. I may end up forgoing the pants drop party at Japandroids to catch everyone that I haven't seen before.
EDIT - That Spoon - Pedro the Lion - TV on the Radio overlap kind of sucks as well. I will probably watch all of Spoon since I haven't seen them before, then watch the last half of Pedro and TVOTR after that. I've seen TVOTR before so that doesn't hurt too bad I suppose.

Nah I'm with him. I like their music, but I don't love it. I will probably pull a Pea and watch a few songs then bounce if it's not blowing me away. I am 100% with these gents and their thoughts. Maybe I was afraid to admit it in the past, or like Pea, just wasn't sure. The songs I do know of Talking Heads are strictly their hits and while they are good and fun to hear every now and again I have zero reference point for them and no nostalgic feelings. His new album has some good songs as well, but nothing that blew My mind. My buddy thats joining me this year grew up on Talking Heads and Byrne was the selling feature for him, so I will probably check it out. From what I've seen on various videos, his show has an interesting set up and look to it, but I honestly can't say that it would hold my attention for more than a couple of songs. Edit - THAT VIDEO OF PUP DOING "SABOTAGE" MADE MY NIGHT

Wildburgers, beer, biscuits and sausage gravy, beer, fruit, vegetables, beef jerky, Jack Daniels, beer, garlic fries, Gatorade, protein bars, beer, water...and nothing inside the venue if I can help it.

Open Up and Say Ahh is a classic. I may have to order it, but I would be more inclined to get the red one from Amazon for $15. Fuck yes. I think I wore that tape out back in the day. I actually saw Poison open for Motley Crue at the Tacoma Dome a few years back and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The only time I saw Poison was on the Flesh & Blood Tour in '91 and it was awesome. I attended so many ridiculous concerts back in those days, but I never saw Motley Crue and I don't think that I ever will. I still love listening to hair metal, but I don't think I would pay to see any of those bands again...except for Guns n' Roses as they will always hold a place in my nostalgic heart.

I don’t have any real record stores close enough to me to get in on the RSD stuff, but I did reactivate my VMP subscription last month when they announced this month’s record was going to be Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not. That one came in the mail the other day, just before they announced next month’s record will be Clipse - Lord Willin’. That’s cool and all, but it didn’t really knock me over, so I went to see about swapping it and found that the selection for the hip-hop series next month is a 25th anniversary remaster of Snoop Doggy Dogg - Doggystyle on a sweet brown and mint splatter vinyl. So I was able to convert my subscription to the hip-hop track for this month and get that one instead. Then yesterday I got a random marketing email letting me know that Poison is re-releasing Open Up And Say Ah on vinyl and their pressing 1000 of them on a cool looking green wax, so of course I had to order that too because I’m actually still 10 years old and that album was one of the first albums I ever loved as a kid. Open Up and Say Ahh is a classic. I may have to order it, but I would be more inclined to get the red one from Amazon for $15.

HAPPY RECORD STORE DAY!! I hope everyone found what they were looking for. I only grabbed two official releases today, but found some other bargains along the way.
Wilco - Live at the Troubadour 11/12/96 (RSD Release) Soul Asylum - Live From Liberty Lunch, Austin TX, December 3, 1992 (RSD Release) Bad Brains - I Against I Black Flag - The First Four Years Husker Du - Metal Circus The Misfits - Static Age Oasis - Definitely Maybe Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
I tried to find a copy of the Brian Eno/Kevin Shields 12", but none of the 5 stores I went to had a copy and never actually received one. If anyone has any leads on this please let me know.

Nothing like wristband anxiety to get us over the 400-page hump. Every year. Everybody sweats when other people start getting theirs and they still haven't. Then every year everybody still makes it. And just like magic my wristbands showed up in the mail!

This Is kind of embarrassing...but I don't know how. It's basically just the logo for this year printed on a wristband. We're talking about Sasquatch wristbands here right? I haven't even received shipping confirmation :/ Same here. They always arrive on time but I start getting nervous reading that others have received theirs and I have yet to get a confirmation.

Unfortunately tonight has been the only chance I had to watch any of the Coachella live stream...and... Holy shit. Is this Petit Biscuit guy for realz? He is the epitome of the knob tweaking button pusher. Maybe I'm wrong, but his set looked as boring as the crowd watching him. Won't be adding him to my must see list. I dunno if this is really correct. I'm not well-versed about the guy or his music, but this vid shows him playing several instruments on stage. I might have missed that but in the 20 minutes that I saw he didn't do shit except push a button and dance. Regardless, it didn't peak my interest. I also watched Portugal, The Man and Kamasi Washington and those sets were aces.

I'm very excited. Just not much to talk about since the research is done, lineup is firmed up and no schedule to discuss.
Just spending my days listening to Sasquatch bands and mixes!

Nice! It's also my 10th year It's been 10 years since my first Sasquatch as well, but I only attend every two years. Given that my boys are getting older and family vacations will become a thing, I think this "might" be my last year...and I am glad to do it in style with this amazing lineup. Fuck am I excited.

2018 really sucks so far. Word. My list at this point could realistically be American Utopia and the Black Panther soundtrack. The others kind of feel like honorable mentions already. Even the new Jack White is kind of a mess, and I fucking love Jack White. I have no idea what the fuck Jack White was thinking with that album. It's good to step out of the box and try something new but this album is a miserable listen. Long, boring and stale. What a disappointment.

I keep it simple and go through the lineup on the website, listen to the song they have and if it tickles my pickle then I'll dive further into their catalogue. If I don't like it I move on.
Then I revisit the site after the schedule comes out to fill in the gaps...or roll with recommendations from the board.
