Seriously, what the fuck is up with removing all mention of Frank Ocean from their social media accounts and their website? I wonder if he cancelled...

I think it seems pretty probable. No real reason other than they have a new album and have never played Sasquatch before, but they seem like they should. This would be aces because their new album is pretty awesome and I think it would work pretty great with a live band. I have no idea if they have ever toured with a band but I'm going to assume it's possible anyway. Justice is listed as one of the "Live Headliners" for Ultra. I will not pretend to know much of anything about what they're doing in this video, but it definitely doesn't involve a band: I'm kind of surprised that in 10 years of being popular, Justice has never played Sasquatch.

I like seeing Bob Moses on hangouts lineup. I love him and have thought for a while he'd be a great fit for squatch/the gorge. Bob Moses is a them. Like Lynyrd Skynyrd or Jethro Tull.

Playing devil's advocate: is this announcement a smart strategy by Sasquatch, or were they backed into a corner after CoS reported Frank Ocean would headline? Sasquatch tweeted out the news 16 minutes after CoS posted their story.

Why they be dropping headliners in November? What is this madness? How pumped am I? I know the answer to one of these questions and it is: I'm hella pumped The last time they did this was six years ago for Foo Fighters headlining 2011. That was also the first year the festival was four days, so they were trying to generate early buzz. Frank Ocean's first (as-yet-announced) live appearance in three years will hopefully generate buzz for the festival too. EDIT: It isn't his first as-yet-announced appearance. Consequence of Sound reports he's headlining Hangout. Still, I think he'll be a great Sasquatch headliner.

Frank Ocean announced to play at Lovebox Festival on July 14th or 15th. I think he's kind of becoming too popular for Sasquatch to attain again, but I like to dream. NOPE

Last update of the year: STRFKR- Being No One, Going NowhereA Tribe Called Quest- We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your serviceThanks for updating these! Now time to go back through everything from the year. We still have a month to go! You crazy. I don't think any albums scheduled to be released in December are likely to make my list, but as Professor Pancakes noted, that could change.

Can somebody correct me, or dredge up, 2014? It was a three day weekend as well and I thought it shared a similar pricing (minus the camping.) I paid $325US for my festival pass in 2014. ($343.50, including shipping)

So general ticket sale begins January 28, which is a Saturday. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe prior years' lineups have been announced on a Tuesday with tickets on sale the following Friday. If they follow a similar formula this year, that would have the lineup announcement on Tuesday January 24. But the on sale date being a Saturday skews that, possibly announcing Friday night with tickets on sale the next morning. Either way, we'll have our lineup in January again! I think the lineup release was Monday, January 11 last year, so this year's release will probably be 12-13 days later. Still in January is good, and it gives us more time to speculate with actual announced tour dates like in years before last year!

I think the return to three days was a smart choice that I totally saw coming. True! My guess is we are looking at a return to a three day festival

Do they think people are more likely to attend a three day festival instead of four?

According to this interview with one of the Primavera Sound organizers, The National and Gorillaz will not tour until 2018. The National announced they're playing a new festival in Denmark in August, so who knows what's true?
