For real, though, we haven't discussed Phoenix much in this thread. I consider them a mid-tier rock act, despite their previous Coachella headlining gig. They've never played Sasquatch before, and "1901" and "Lisztomania" are still alt-rock radio staples.

Let's just say for fun that Sasquatch landed Frank Ocean and LCD Soundsystem as two of the three. Doesn't seem too farfetched. What do we think a reasonable third headlining slot would look like? Would they throw a bone to the EDM kids with another Disclosure-sized electronic artist, or promote a mid-tier rock act to headliner? I'm not entirely sure if Frank Ocean and LCD Soundsystem alone are big enough to help Sasquatch "recover" from last year, so to speak, but I can't imagine either are cheap bookings. The Flaming Lips are overdue to return and would be supporting a new album... EDIT: I already regret this post.

Soundgarden are playing Rocklahoma the Saturday of Sasquatch. Don't expect them to headline Sasquatch Friday or Sunday.

What does "metal bat swinging" have to do with Big Grams? I believe they threw a bat into the crowd last year and it hit someone Oh shit! Channeling the Mars Volta. I'm glad I was at the Cure!

U2/Lumineers are touring and have the 27th and 28th open... is that too big for Sasquatch? Yes.

3. Yes! Our lineup release party will be in early February (or right after the Super bowl). So Monday, February 6. Damn!

Ugh, yeah I got a little too excited and presumed that maybe they were doing an early hint process or simply showing some to those that put the time in for the puzzle. Similar to the Gov. Ball crossword. That would be really cool. I think I was wrong before. Doing the hidden icons thing now doesn't sign you up for a lineup email. Doing the hidden puzzle pieces thing that starts next Monday signs you up for a lineup email. And hopefully those hidden puzzle pieces are something similar to Roo Clues.

It seems like the game enters you in their giveaway contest that they're doing weekly (sorry if that was too obvious), but the lineup launch is January 16-21? Which the 21st is a Saturday. So maybe we shouldn't expect our lineup until around the unless one of us wins and leaks it here early, right? Yes you're right that completing the hidden icons search thing enters you for giveaways. But I think it also just signs you up to receive an email with the lineup after it's announced. "Among the first to see the lineup" is kind of misleading because everyone who does this game will be sent an email with the lineup at the same time. They did a similar thing last year, just without a 360 degree image of the Gorge.

I'm not really sure what the point of that little game was besides to make me miss the Gorge.

Also, a little birdie told me that Solange is on the Squatch lineup. You guys have no reason to trust me but I can mark that up as confirmed Awesome! I think you've earned enough good will having posted for almost a year and a half to trust you. Did your source mention how high in the lineup she is?

Doesn't make it impossible - but makes it a bit challenging. Hmm, seems like a missed opportunity for Sasquatch if an artist they booked for last year whose set was cancelled due to weather is nearby on the same weekend and isn't re-booked.

Has there been any history of crossovers with Squatch and Panorama before? This is only Panorama's second year. Last year saw several crossovers, including Alabama Shakes, Major Lazer, Sufjan Stevens, A$AP Rocky, and Kurt Vile.

Considering how high they are in the Coachella poster and that they had a sub headliner billing a couple of years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if they were one of the headliners. Explosions in the Sky are not at Coachella this year. I don't think they were there last year either. I wouldn't say they sub-headlined Sasquatch a couple of years ago; they played the Bigfoot stage while Girl Talk was sub-headlining. Girl Talk's fireworks ended up working well for Explosions in the Sky, but they were not a sub-headliner. (Technically, they were below a headliner, but that's not how we use the term "sub-headliner.") I would be very surprised if there were one of the Sasquatch headliners. Late night Bigfoot set would be ideal, but if they appear, 10pm Bigfoot slot is probably most likely. They could also be skipping the NW on this tour because they played two nights in both Portland and Vancouver and played Bumbershoot last summer, but I do hope they show up at Sasquatch this year!

I was more surprised by the news about Bon Iver skipping the Seattle market entirely this year. (Because that probably means he's not coming down to Portland either.) These "personal reasons" must really affect Justin's ability to complete a full tour.

I believe now (with a high level of certainty) that Bon Iver won't be at Sasquatch or even play Seattle market this year. I keep having my heart crushed over and over again. Why? Because he canceled a European tour?
