Post Malone has over 39 million monthly plays on Spotify. This dude is not playing the Bigfoot.

For what it's worth, Coachella and Governors Ball have 18 crossovers: Post Malone, Eminem, Russ, 6lack, Amine, Lany, Tash Sultana, BROCKHAMPTON, Belly, Aurora, Sir Sly, Kali Uchis, Moses Sumney, Alvvays, Kelela, Cuco, The Regrettes, and Knox Fortune. Tash Sultana is the only artist from that list who is also playing Hangout.

I suspect there will be fewer crossovers with this one: But there could still be a good amount considering it's the weekend after Sasquatch. Boston Calling also comes out this week.

The more I think about it, it probably has more to do with the fact that she'll probably have Travis Scott and Kendrick come out to do their verses on her songs. Even though they're not technically billed, they're probably accounted for somewhere resulting in a higher price for her than she'd get at another festival. This is a smart take I wish I had though of myself!

I just listened to BROCKHAMPTON's top 5 songs on Spotify. I can see why you whippersnappers like this.

Tash Sultana, whom we're expecting to play Sasquatch, is the first name of the fourth line her day. I guess the industry is expecting her to blow up this spring? Or maybe she already has - she has over 3 million monthly plays on Spotify.

For what it's worth regarding SZA: in 2015, Tame Impala sub-headlined Coachella and sub-sub-headlined Sasquatch, so there is precedent for a popular act being "demoted" at Sasquatch. I would love for SZA to be a crossover, but don't think SZA would headline. My expectations have been raised from sub-sub to sub (I know this is confusing), but not to headliner.

Don't deny yourself. They're actually really great. I think I just feel overwhelmed by their releases. Like how I was never able to keep up with Odd Future. (but I do have 11 King Gizzard albums in my library, so fuck me)

I still don't know what a BROCKHAMPTON is. I refuse to learn until/unless it is on Sasquatch's lineup.

If the Coachella lineup does end up coming out tomorrow, I'm excited for this place to get even sillier in the coming days as we get crossover numbers, tour dates, and the like! Festival rumor season picks up now, and we have a whole month to go until ours!

The May LA show makes them unlikely for Coachella. In this piece, I think David Bazan implies that the festival offer instigated the reunion. If that's true, props to Zacks & crew for thinking outside the box! Gives me hope they haven't ceded all control to Live Nation.

Haha, r/Sasquatch lists Fleet Foxes as "probable," citing "Information selection." Not that they aren't possible, but that's just sloppy. Congratulations, Pea, on inspiring teh trollz!

Thoughts on a Haim return? They played Bumbershoot this last September (not sure if that's a plus or minus in terms of likelihood) and they played Sas in 2014 if I'm not mistaken. They seem primed for a trip back to the Gorge imo. As far as I can tell, HAIM's only 2018 date is an event honoring Fleetwood Mac in NYC in January. I'm not aware of any indication they're touring next year, but that doesn't mean they aren't possible for Sasquatch. For what it's worth, HAIM's 2017 Bumbershoot show was actually cancelled because Danielle had laryngitis, so they haven't played the Seattle market in a while. I saw them a few days after that scheduled Bumbershoot show in Portland. Danielle still had laryngitis, but they went on with the show. It was my #1 most disappointing set of 2017.

In all fairness though, that set was about 40% Haim and 60% that magical sunset. Very true. Those beams of light were blowing my mind. Also the anticipation for Outkast really sealed the deal OutKast played Friday. HAIM played Sunday. Those must have been some great corn chips, my dude!

They seem primed for a trip back to the Gorge imo. I feel the same about Sylvan Esso and The War On Drugs too. As far as I can tell, HAIM's only 2018 date is an event honoring Fleetwood Mac in NYC in January. I'm not aware of any indication they're touring next year, but that doesn't mean they aren't possible for Sasquatch. Sylvan Esso are playing Marymoor (Seattle's smaller mainstream outdoor amphitheater) in July. They aren't playing Sasquatch 2018. I think it's notable that The War on Drugs played Portland's holiday radio show, but not Seattle's. Not an indication they'll play Sasquatch this year, but they're popular and could certainly do it again. I'd guess sub-sub to sub at this point.
