Didn't take long for the thread to get insanely off topic.

I don't want to pick apart this lineup piece by piece, because in my mind, fake lineups don't deserve the credit some of you are giving it. I will quickly touch on the headliners though. Foo Fighters / Soundgarden / Arcade Fire / Outcast That is a gigantic list of headliners for any festival. Who would be a sub-headliner at Coachella? None of them. (shut up, I know Coachella is only three days). Let me just throw a couple quick numbers out there. Sasquatch sells 25,000 tickets. Lollapalooza sells 75,000. Let's just assume each festival landed those four acts. At $300 per festival pass, Lollapalooza would make $15 million more than Sasquatch selling out the festival, on tickets alone. Considering most headliners outside of the U2/Rolling Stones (and many others who won't be at Sasquatch) cost a million or less, that $15 million is a huge gain for one festival, and a huge loss for the other. Great point, but i don't think that they plan to make their money off ticket sales. I know there is some profit to be had there but the real money is in advertising and merchandise. A newspaper doesn't make money off its subscribers (or enough to care about) they make money off of their advertising and the number of subscribers are simply a tool to bring in more advertisers.

Seems like historically Sasquatch has tried to get their money's worth when the bring in an act. Like when Girl Talk was an artist and a joke at the same time? Right. I guess

I wasn't sure where to post this on these boards but I figured this would be as god a spot any so here is what may, or may not, be a fairly accurate forecast for Sasquatch! 2011: Foo Fighters/Outkast/Soundgarden/Arcade Fire/the Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon/The Black Keys/The Roots/PJ Harvey/Death Cab for Cutie/Queens of the Stone Age/Fleet Foxes/Mudhoney/The Decemberists/Wu Tang Clan/Fistful of Mercy/Bright Eyes/Ghostland Observatory/Chemical Brothers/Cold War Kids/Cake/Cee Lo Green/Chromeo/Wiz Khalifa/Janelle Monae/Surfer Blood/Das Racist/Fitz and the Tantrums/The Drums/Matt & Kim/Metric/Best Coast/And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead/Sleigh Bells/Wavves/Florence and the Machine/Wolf Parade/Flying Lotus/Black Mountain/Black Rebel Motorcycle Club/the Builders and the Butchers/Dead Confederate/Fruit Bats/Toro Y Moi/Destroyer/the Twilight Singers/Wire/Menomena/Weekend/Cage the Elephant/The Kills/Blue Scholars/Jaill/Grinderman/The Streets/Happy Birthday/Fergus and Geronimo/Old 97s/Pearly Gates Music/Mew/Warpaint/Retribution Gospel Choir/The Presidents of the USA/Wild Flag/Papercuts/Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks/Ted Leo & the Pharmacists/Titus Andronicus/Wintersleep/Delta Spirit/The Head and the Heart/Moondoggies/Macklemore/Mister Heavenly/Ezra Furman and the Harpoons/Mad Rad/Maktub/the Seattle Rock Orchestra performing Radiohead/Joel McHale/Childish Gambino/Donald Glover/Dave Attell/Nick Kroll/John Mulaney/Rob Delaney/Reggie Watts/Nikki Glaser/Anthony Jesselnik/Wyatt Cyenac May seem strange but it was the comedians that made me think it was legit. I was browsing though them and I noticed "Childish Gambino" listed. I follow comedy pretty closely and I had no idea who the hell this person was (sorry maybe everyone else did but i didn't). Upon doing some research it appears that its Donald Glover (community) doing some type of comedy rap act. This is entirely likely if you think back to the twofers of the past (Todd barry solo and with the red wine boys and Martina Topley Bird solo and with Massive Attack just to name a few). Seems like historically Sasquatch has tried to get their money's worth when the bring in an act. If its not accurate, and it may not be, its a damn good guess and someone went to great lengths to make a possible lineup.

Looks lovely but I think there are too many headliners there. Arcade Fire, Portishead, Modest Mouse, Black Keys, Bright Eyes and probably even Death Cab could all be headliners at Sasquatch, IMO. You could be right. I am just trying to take it down from the Radiohead, White Stripes, Beastie Boys talk.

Just to be clear on my rationale as to why this would be possible in my book. Coachella (yes i realize this is a different festival) booked a solo Serj Tankian a couple years back. If you have listened to any of his solo albums they are really not that much different than SOAD. To the point of Mastadon and DEP. I could be wrong but I believe that both of them have played at Coachella and/or Bonaroo (again i realize different festivals). Bottom line is that its not totally out of the question and I personally think it would fit in with how eclectic the festival is.

If blink-182 came I wouldn't go to sasquatch. I would. I wouldn't let one band dictate whether or not i am going to go to an entire 4 day festival.

How did we all forget so quickly about Bad Brains? That's seminal punk. Punk is not out in anyway. I think there will always be at least one punk bank in the lineup.

Scratch that last part, Nada Surf has now been moved BACK to the bigfoot/wookie stage.

The spreadsheet dosent take into account the nada surf/PE switch on Sat/Sun. Also Nada moved to the mainstage. Just saying. That could greatly impact the chances of an MA/BS conflict. Just saying...

Also of note, Nada Surf appears to have moved to the Sasquatch stage.
Wonder if the change away from the Wookie name has anything to do with not being able to use the word because its owned by George Lucas or something.

PE will conflict with Pavement and Nada will conflict with VW. Don't be fooled into thinking anything otherwise. Your Hold Steady /National conflict will also exist. sorry

Okay, anyone notice on the ticketmaster website there is information about getting VIP club passes? This seems to be different from the SUPER tickets and also seems to be different from the premiere parking. Anyone know what else this would include
