longtime lurker, but after two years of no sasquatching i'm planning on going in 2013. so lurk no more, i figure.
Name: Ben What my user name represents/means: My friends and I used to often greet each other with, "Hey [insert name], you ole' polecat, gettin' any?" We don't do that anymore, but it became a username somewhere along the road. Also, it is so crazy how this less than perfect lineup could have been remedied into a wonderful and exciting weekend with the right scheduling tweeks. I don't want to keep beating this very dead mutilated rotten horse, but what a disaster. Seriously. Only 15-ish groups I'm psyched on and it looks like they might pull a FlyLo vs. Flaming Lips, a Wilco v. Deerhunter, a GBV v. White Denim AND a !!! v. Skrillex?? Unbelievable.

I can't believe I might miss my first Sasquatch in 6 years. Same boat. Because it's the Gorge, I know that no matter who plays I'll have insane fun... but it's gonna be hard to justify spending the cash to go to this. I really only like about 10 names here. Most of which I've already seen. Fuck.

national vs. why? vs. hold steady - NOT COOL AT ALL. but the national wins.
missing dam-funk and watching vampire weekend - who i really don't care for - just to be up front for MMJ will also not be cool.
pavement vs. dirty projectors, well that one just pisses me off. going with pavement.
and other than these crushing blows, i'm good.

Pretty sure you're good on this one considering both Vampire Weekend and The National are playing main stage... I would bet that it would look more like Broken Social Scene, The National, Vampire Weekend, then MMJ on the main stage that Saturday.[/quote]
right on, i can get behind that. just won't be able to move for half the day, nice.

my biggest scheduling fear is that vampire weekend will be set to play the main stage right before mmj and the national 'headline' the bigfoot. if i'm forced to miss the national and watch the lameness that is vampire weekend in order to be up close for mmj, i'll be pissed. i suppose it would be either that or catch half the national and then watch mmj from the hill. don't fuck me on this one, adam zacks.

Might as well nerd out and throw my two cents in. I realize that many of these aren't likely, but in a perfect world, I'd like to see...
Headliners:
Pavement (check!) Pixies Wilco Flaming Lips Radiohead
Non-headliners:
Andrew Bird Yo La Tengo Midlake White Denim The Breeders Starfucker Broken Social Scene any Wu-Tang Avett Brothers Cut Copy St. Vincent Edward Sharpe The Black Keys Phoenix Noisettes Why? MGMT The Roots Ween Sun Kil Moon Foreign Born Memory Tapes Grizzly Bear Hudson Mohawke Camp Lo MGMT Oh No Delta Spirit Toro Y Moi Friendly Fires Dam-Funk Bear In Heaven Hot Chip
...yep, that's be pretty cool.

WTF where's peter bjorn and john??? did they drop the festival? shitty... i was really looking forward to that one.
also, the animal collective / sun kil moon conflict is not cool. wanted to see AC, what with all the hype and stuff, but i'm a big kozelek fan so it looks like that ain't happening for me. the dodos / TVOTR clash is also problematic.
those grievances aside, though, i'm extremely excited. and i accept that every festival has its inevitable scheduling conflicts...
