Still mostly a pre-research list:
1. The National - 2014 permanently installed them at the top of my favorite bands. Can't wait for Gorge round 2. 2. David Byrne - Turned into a Talking Heads fanboy over the last 14 months, fucking hype for Gorgebyrne 3. TV on the Radio - Been dying to see these freaks live for forever 4. Anderson Paak 5. Jeff Rosensquatch - Seen him twice already and it bangs so hard 6. Modest Mouse - I need redemption for that 2015 bullshit 7. Spoon?? Spoon. 8. Girlpool - these people make beautiful sounds 9. 2 Many Zoos - the hype is real 10. Choir Choir Choir - the Byrne "Heroes" video made me cry, this seems awesome, can't wait to see who features. If it's Byrne again you'll have to peel me off the ceiling of the tent
Don't understand the bonny bear love from a lot of you, I saw him play 22 a Million last year and it sounded just as crinkly, esoteric, and unappealing as it did on the record to me. His voice is already so pretty that autotuning it does not make sense to me.

Before I post my list I have a question for y'all: what kinda setlist do you think we should expect from a Byrne solo show?? What's the breakdown of Talking Heads vs solo stuff? I respect his solo work but it doesn't hold nearly the same weight for me as hearing him play Talking Heads stuff would. Never seen him solo and have no idea what to expect, especially since a festival set might differ from the other shows on this tour, no?

Seeing 22, A Million live is guaranteed to make anyone on this board a believer. I hope you're right cause I don't get Bon Iver. LCD Soundsystem live made me a believer, so there's that 22, A Million sucked just as much live as it did on the record

For real though I do feel really shitty for everyone who definitively decided not to attend and can't change plans now. I literally bought plane tickets to boston calling a week ago. I'm fucking livid

I ended up driving 500 miles from NC to NYC the day of their last show of this run without tickets in hand on the gamble that they would release some last minute and my friends and I would be able to nail the location/timing. It worked and was probably the best day of my life. The new songs kick ass. Didn't wind up happening for me how were the new songs? They were stellar live, they played them all at once and they each had a very unique sound. I'm really curious to hear how they sound recorded though. Photo for proof/bragging rights: Attachments:

There are more artists on this lineup than there were in the initial Sasquatch announcement. I keep thinking that I'm done being sad about sasquatch but here we are again

Off topic, but has anyone on here been to Governor's Ball in NYC? If so, any thoughts/opinions on it? I'm seriously considering going to that this year...on top of Sasquatch (sigh). I went to panorama last summer after only attending camping festivals up til then and was shocked at how great of an experience it was. Can't speak for govball specifics though

Because I'm a masochist, let's compare the Sasquatch and Coachella lineups! Of course, they're different beasts, but let's give it a shot: Three days each. 64 acts at Sasquatch (55 music), 149 at Coachella (all music). $295 for Sasquatch, $399 for Coachella. 12 crossovers! The Head and the Heart: 4th overall at Sasquatch / 8th on their day at Coachella Phantogram: 7th overall at Sasquatch / 10th on their day at Coachella Mac Miller: 8th overall at Sasquatch / 7th on his day at Coachella Bonobo: 9th overall at Sasquatch / 14th on his day at Coachella Kaytranada: 11th overall at Sasquatch / 14th on his day at Coachella Big Gigantic: 12th overall at Sasquatch / 20th on their day at Coachella Kiiara: 14th overall at Sasquatch / 22nd on her day at Coachella Car Seat Headrest: 20th overall at Sasquatch / 32nd on his day at Coachella Jagwar Ma: 26th overall at Sasquatch / 23rd on their day at Coachella Kungs: 28th overall at Sasquatch / 38th on his day at Coachella Arkells: 38th overall at Sasquatch / 39th on their day at Coachella Klangstof: 45th overall at Sasquatch / 46th on their day at Coachella Only two acts are lower overall at Sasquatch than they are on their day at Coachella. I understand that Coachella is bigger than Sasquatch, but the festival cost is only a third more. If you took any one day of Coachella with maybe the exception of Saturday and put it at the Gorge, I would easily pay $300 for it. What a goddamn shame.

Well shit. I bought presale, and I'm sure hoping it doesn't get cancelled. I've been trying to get to Sasquatch for the last 6 years, but have never had the money or transportation to do so. The stars finally lined up for me this year, and as long as it's happening, I'm going. The headliners could have been the fucking teletubbies for all I care. Sure, costwise im getting screwed due to the small number of groups playing this year, but there are still some great acts on that lineup that are worth seeing. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'm right there with ya. If it happens, I'm there and making the best of it for sure. I'm just not confident that it is going to happen. Although, cancelling after the lineup's been announced would equate to admitting they made a mistake, which is something LiveNation would never do. I feel like LiveNation would do anything and everything that's in the interest of their bottom line, including admit they made a mistake

I know Edward Sharpe got no love on here at the time, but this remains by far my favorite Squatch moment. I lost my friends in the mosh during Dropkick Murphys the set prior, and screaming the chorus to this song at the end with so many strangers was genuinely profound.

I'm so torn because on the one hand, I really hope this year doesn't sell well because it will show Live Nation that Sasquatch needs to remain a music lovers festival, and not a just festival kid's playground. On the other hand, if it doesn't sell well it could very well be the last. Something tells me that Live Nation isn't a company that would look to its own failures first. To me it looks like Sasquatch is possibly on its death bed, and that kills me because Sasquatch 2013 was part of the birth of my love of music. Some of my best memories are at the Gorge Same here. Sasquatch '13 was my first festival and because of the timing (right before I graduated high school) it was a real coming of age type trip for me. I cannot believe this festival is effectively dead. Fingers crossed for an Arcade Fire solo show? Y'all think there's any chance that happens with this new album coming out?

As a (temporary) east coaster, I'm praying this is the case and I don't have to stay up til 3. You don't have to say up. That's what alarms are for, right? Where is the fun in that?
