Wasn't sure where to put this. It's a pretty good article about the NIN Tension tour. After reading that Trent dumped a lot of money on this thing, I almost feel bad about bitching about the $45 t shirt prices. I guess he has to make money somewhere.

Is stand corrected. A quick perusal of the Saquatch! Wiki page shows also The Head and the Heart (2011-2012), Fleet Foxes (2008-2009), and Neko Case three years in a row (2006-8). So while repeat performances are very rare, they do seem to happen at a rate of about one every year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there has ever been an artist that performed two years in a row. I think Ben Gibbard might have been there two years in a row, but one was with The Postal Service and the other with Death Cab, so it doesn't really count. Repeat bookings are fairly common, but never two years in a row that I can think of. Bottom line: I'm not really putting my money on anyone from last year being there again next year.

It's says pre-sale ends December 31 unless they sell out first. I'm really hoping the whole 2 weekend thing discourages some people from buying them because I won't have money for them until some time in December. I have a feeling that the fucking scalpers are going to be all over then though, after last year's fast sell out.

"Discount passes" go on sale this Friday, 11/29 at 9am. Per @sasquatch Twitter, additional discount if buying passes for both weekends. I knew this was going to h happen and I didn't save my money in time...
Its weird. For all of the other music I like, I understand that other's might not... that people have their own preferences and thats normal and fine.
But with Tool its different.... Like, cognitively I can say that I understand peoples preferences differ... but on a deeper level, it just doesn't make sense. How can anybody not feel what I feel when I listen to Tool? I know its probably a totally irrational feeling... but its there.
I know exactly what you mean. In all my life, I've met one person who actually said he didn't like them and it genuinely confused me. I had a have a long talk with him to try to understand, but it still didn't make sense. In the end, it pretty much boiled down to "It isn't black metal, man." Which then made me feel stupid for having such a long conversation with such a closed minded fuck.
