Because I am so heavy into the hip-hop sound some interesting artists I would like to see from Coachellaare Swet Shop Boys which is Heems formerly from Das Rascist and Riz Ahmed who acted in Rogue One and Nightcrawler, their sound is very ethnically influenced and their wo Cashmere was one of my favorite albums of 2016. Denzel Curry who has recently grown out of his meme riddled songs Ultimate, but encompasses and area similar to where Action Bronson played in 2015/Chance the Rapper in 2014, all three of which were XXL Freshmen artists. Finally, Mura Masa who hails from Gurnsey which is a small island outside of France/London, and has a sound similar to Nujabes and Cashmere Cat. I recognize this isn't a hip-hop driven culture, but those three I think are a cut above the typical Young Thug, Lil Yachty, and etc trash that is so popular now. bless you for this post. Mura Masa is great. edit: I hope Sasq! gets NAO.

I don't see a problem with having Chance and Frank on the top line. That matched with a good rock artist would be perfect in my opinion. I'm honestly happy to see that the "big" electronic names on the Gov Ball poster is Flume, followed by Marshmello. Not having the Skrillex/deadmau5/Calvin Harris taking a headliner spot is fine in my opnion and some of the newer and less hyped electronic acts are pretty cool.

That picture confirms Portland, Maine. Can we basically confirm The xx now? pitchfork.com/news/69940-the-xx-announce-north-american-tour-by-mailing-fans-free-tickets/I think the Portland date says May 25 or 28, but regardless, it's close enough to WA to confirm them. Now... last time they played Sasquatch in 2013 I believe they subheadlined on Saturday night before Sigur Ros. I would like to see them as a subheadliner again this year but I could honestly see them headlining. Macklemore, The xx, Frank Ocean? Hopefully Foo Fighters got in there instead of Mr Macklemore. Also, in previous years wasn't there someone updating the original post with Rumours/Confirmations? I can't seem to find whereabouts that's at. jk. Oh shit! Pitchfork got it wrong too....

Governors Ball 2017 Last year some notable crossovers between Sasquatch and Governors Ball were M83, Chet Faker, Jamie XX, Big Grams, Purity Ring, Vince Staples, and Vic Mensa. In 2015 some crossovers were Lana Del Rey, Ryan Adams, Chromeo, Flume, The Decemberists, Tame Impala, St. Vincent, The War on Drugs, Hot Chip, MØ, Future Islands, Odesza, and Royal Blood. As far as this lineup goes its pretty fucking stellar in my opinion. Would love to see anyone off the top 2 lines. Mark Ronson vs. Kevin Parker is pretty interesting too, as they worked together on Lady Gaga's recent album. Also, if we can get Beach House I will be extremely happy. Hopefully we get as many acts off of this card as we did last year. THIS IS SO FUCKING HOPEFUL.

The xx.
Pitchfork originally posted it was Portland, OR but looking closer it says Portland, ME.

Bottlerock lineup comes out tomorrow morning. Apparently Foo Fighters are one of the headliners.
I think in the last 3 years Sasquatch and Bottlerock shared one headliner (Florence, Robert Plant, and Outkast).

why would those posts be taken down ... they're going to have to make an announcement unless they are ok with serious backlash.

Anyone going to Pemberton? I have a ticket hoping for some sweet late adds like the last 2 years... Not as happy with the lineup but still excited for quite a few artists each day.

Pemberton supposedly being announced tomorrow morning. Any guesses? Crazy how we know nothing about these lineups every year.

Count all of these acts out of Pemberton. I never thought a lot of these bands would be there but was hoping for Grimes. This festival is in the UK.

That poster kind of sucks. Decent lineup, but nothing mind-blowing for such a hyped new "east-coast Coachella." Being the week after Pemberton, I wonder how much crossover we can expect. Since LCD Soundsystem appears to be out, and Kendrick just headlined, I wonder if Arcade Fire will be one of the headliners. Is Kendrick out for sure? He's kind of become part of the Pemberton brand. He's been at the festival the last 2 years and I remember last year during his set he said something about wanting to keep coming back. I wouldn't be mad if he had new material out. Would not be surprised if Pemberton got Major Lazer as a headliner.. The National could potentially headline as well as ASAP Rocky on Thursday night. Really hoping for FKA Twigs and Blood Orange to come to Pemberton from this lineup.

I'll take a couple of those bands add Roybn and I'm going to be grooving around Pemberton like never before.
Are bands like The Lumineers that are playing Vancouver before Pemberton out for sure too? I can't remember if Grimes had a Vancouver date either.
