This would be the ideal outcome for me honestly. Soundgarden are playing Rocklahoma the Saturday of Sasquatch. Don't expect them to headline Sasquatch Friday or Sunday. Soundgarden played Pemberton in 2014 and then played in Vegas the following night. I think Pemberton is a bit closer to Nevada than the Gorge is to Oklahoma but not by much. Im probably wrong but it is possible!

Were there any "random" acts that were high up on the bill last year that weren't really touring? I feel like Sasquatch always has a couple, or I'm totally making shit up. If this is true then maybe I can keep hoping that Robyn is going to show up. I mean, if Frank Ocean is on the lineup then maybe we are going to see some other returns from Julysquatch? Tegan and Sara, Spoon, Foxygen, Majical Cloudz, Oneohtrix Point Never anyone?

Not that I had any hope of this I thought the way Osheaga did their lineup in 2014 was pretty cool. The entire lineup was in this picture and then you could guess the lineup and once someone got 100% of the lineup (it would tell you what percentage you got when you submitted) then the lineup was released and that person won a pair of VIP passes or something. I remember this and it was brilliant.

Because the rampant speculation thread is so hard to follow I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread specifically just for the hidden puzzle piece game Im sure most of us will be trying out. Sounds like we will be able to start searching at midnight tonight? And whether the puzzle will tell us about the artists or not I am unsure. sasquatchfestival.com/lineuplaunchHIDDEN PUZZLE PIECES: LIVE JANUARY 16TH – 21ST Be among the first to view the Official 2017 Sasquatch! Festival Lineup Announce Video! Click on the tab below to search for hidden puzzle pieces. Once you complete the puzzle you’ll receive a confirmation email with information on when you can view the lineup video. www.1077theend.com/no-more-sasquatch-launch-partyAll you have to do is visit this website between January 16th and the 21st at 11:59pm and find the hidden puzzle pieces within a super sweet, high-res shot of The Gorge. If you find them all, you'll get the lineup video straight to your inbox... No concert required! Plus, you'll be entered to win the Ultimate Sasquatch! Package, which includes 2 VIP tickets, premiere camping, and a backstage tour at the festival (take that, putting on pants!).

Alright folks, this board has done this in the past so why wouldn't we give it another shot for SASQUATCH! 2017?!
Post here with your guess for 3 headliners, 3 subheadliners, and as many undercard artists as you want.
The idea is that after the lineup is released you can come back, quote your initial guess and see how close you were to guessing the lineup. I was thinking of doing a points based system for scoring see but Im not sure if that matters - it is up to you if you want to add up your score later on.
My thoughts on scoring are 5 points for each correct headliner, 3 points for each correct subheadliners, and 2 points for each correct undercard artist. Also, for each band you guess incorrectly you need to subtract 1 point from your total score. Remember, this is guess the lineup, not the wishlist thread so that's why there is negative points for guessing incorrect artists.
Quick hint... Frank Ocean was announced as a headliner in late 2016 when presale tix went on sale but all graphics and announcements about Frank were then removed from Sasquatch's website and social media... It is still assumed that Frank Ocean will be headlining Sasquatch but we have no confirmation.

Are we doing a guess the lineup thread? Is that an official thing that someone official around here officially creates? Officially there is an overarching "these guesses seem more likely than others" thread that's the "Confirmation" one. If anyone finds anything that stands out it usually makes it there, outside of that we are all just ramping up the crippling anxiety that leads to the official lineup release. Oh I meant like where we all have a shot and actually guess a couple headliners, sub headliners, and the undercard and once the lineup is released we go back and see how close we were I think its been done in the past here?

I really think we're going to get Lorde edit: besides the top line and a few bands here and there the lineup is a bit underwhelming. would love to get james vincent mcmorrow and kaleo

I didn't think Chance was happening either until I saw the top line of the Government Ball poster. Now, who knows? LCD Soundsystem / Frank Ocean / Chance the Rapper doesn't sound too far fetched and God knows it would sell some tickets. My main concern now isn't so much if they would, but if they could. Given how high those guys are all booked at other festivals, they wouldn't be cheap, but they don't seem impossible either. And, as I've said before, Sasquatch can't afford to go cheap on this year's lineup. The only downside I could see to that top row would be the lack of serious rock guitars. But, if you look back at the rock headliners the last few years (The Cure, Sleater-kinney, QOTSA), they have been among the least attended sets of the weekends. You are right in the fact of not having a headlining guitar act would seem uncharacteristic for Squatch. If they are aiming for ticket sales this year I can see them defer off this route and go in another genres direction. Flume, Chance, etc seem all logical as they are very popular and in high demand. If they were to bill a guitar act what groups remaining would they look to? Kings of Leon

Considering how high they are in the Coachella poster and that they had a sub headliner billing a couple of years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if they were one of the headliners. I think there is a higher standard for Sasquatch. Explosions in the Sky is definitely not headliner material.

Forgive me if it was already mentioned, but what do we think about dirty projectors as a possibility? They're always great live and the new songs they've put out are excellent in my opinion Honestly anything is a possibility but usually when there's real speculation that an artist is going to be at Sasquatch it is because: 1. They have tour dates in the Pacific Northwest around May 26-28, usually with no date in WA 2. They are on tour and have a day or two not booked between May 26-28 and could fly to THE GORGE 3. They have released an album recently and have yet to announce dates or we know they are going to be releasing an album and touring soon 4. Someone has an inside scoop either with the artist attending or with Sasquatch staffers I don't think the Dirty Projectors have plans to release any new material or tour in the early months of 2017? For instance, we could speculate that we might get The Flaming Lips because they are releasing an album very soon and have played Sasquatch before. edit: apparently Dirty Projectors released a song today? www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IG5f50olZA
