It is no more convenient than say, ticketswest (which many of our native PNW board members will be familiar with) which charges a third of those fees, at best (I mean hey, operation costs have to be in there somewhere right?)

Do I have to give the "emo lecture"? Cuz I don't think Rites of Spring, Embrace, or Moss Icon - just to name three - fit that description

give them a break it costs a lot of money to print black text on paper. It's even tougher for them to not do it and then send you an email instead, another 2.50? They sure earn that money!

I've seen Hold Steady both at Sasquatch a few years ago and then at the Blockparty the next year I think. Fucking incredible live set.
Minus the Bear I saw at Endfest when they had it in the fucking parking lot of Qwest Field - i n c r e d i b l e.
I've seen Long Winters at various places but they stick out at Sasquatch cuz I saw them right before the Arcade Fire. You wouldn't think it, but they were the perfect combination.
I've seen a good half the bands who're playing, as I look at the lineup more and more, so I guess if you have questions about their liveset, ask?

That's nothing, I've solved math problems where the solution was longer than some papers I've written.

Yeah, know what's awesome? Being a math major and not having to deal with any of that stuff.

lol
Nevermind that there's no actual evidence that they've spent less money. Their headliners are *apparently* less expensive, I guess? Although considering no one knows what booking Massive Attack or Ween or whoever costs that's a hard case to make. Given who headlined last year, I can believe that the headliners are somewhat less expensive because they aren't "proven", but then again last year they had only one night of truly proven headliners, and I'd love to see figures that Ben Harper and Erika Byaduh or whoever headlined Monday costs more than say the Kings of Leon and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
But even so, the middle of the card is much stronger than most festival see. There are usually gaps in quality as you go down, but this lineup is very consistent.

Coachella is only cheaper by virtue of only offering three day tickets. If they offered individual, it would skyrocket above Sasquatch again - and now I'm curious how early adopter prices break down (but not curious enough to go do research).
People are still saying Soundgarden is going to be added. WTF <.< - but for kicks, haters, does this improve the lineup for you enough that you no longer are complaining about headliners?

I agree that Adam Zacks probably doesn't get his feelings hurt by some of the comments on this board, but he would be foolish to not visit it. Between forums, blogs, and twitter, a concert promoter has never had such an amazing chance to get the pulse of the general public. I'm sure he is aware that the general consensus is that this is a very deep lineup with many artists putting out hyped albums this year, but that the headliners have to be taken on trust because they aren't the typical "names" at the top of the poster. As others have mentioned, I would be curious to know if the ticket sales are on par with past years at this point. As mentioned in the Tickets thread... tickets are selling WAY BETTER this year than last year. Not to mention, this is what, 20-30 people, tops, who post on a regular basis? We might be a half-decent cross section of the "average Sasquatch attender", but really 20-30 people out of 22000 isn't exactly a significant sample, and certainly not what you should cater to, no matter how much we'd like them to

Hahaha. I can't tell you guys how glad I am to have waited to do college for a couple years. Community college for 21-23, financial aid covering the rest, no student loans. It's very nice, leaves you lots of money to do things like, say, this

Why did Booka Shade move? I thought the only additions they had so far were comedy so the lineup wouldnt shift?

I know this isn't that big of a deal, but the postal service didn't headline in 04 (wikipedia lies sometimes). They were 3rd on the bill. The roots followed them and then Thievery Corporation headlined. Just by looking at that 04 line up some would get the impression that was a weak festival, but that year is still up their as one of my favorites of the seven I've been to and in my opinion compares to this years line up the best (very solid under card with a perceived unproven headliner). That makes a lot more sense. And yeah, I totally stole that from Wikipedia. lol - but even so, and this is from a "not being there" perspective, the lineup there still looks a bit weak.

Star power means nothing if your live show is mediocre. I've always heard nothing but phenomenal things about MMJ and Massive Attack's live shows. Bonnaroo can keep their Jay-Z's, KoL's, and DMB. I don't imagine any of them doing anything other than playing their straight forward songs on stage. While I certainly see your point, describing DMB as just playing their songs on a stage isn't quite right. They don't have an elaborate live show, which is fine, not everyone will and that by no means makes a bad live band. They do some long ass jam sessions on various songs though, probably to no one's great surprise. I've seen them before, and I've kind of moved past being a fan, but yeah.

Just say "Evergreen student". It's more concise, accurate, and it's funny to boot I can't believe way out in the Gorge they have a noise ordinance though (I'm not saying I don't, I'm just puzzled by the concept of doing so)

Leaving the campground might be much easier than the festival itself.
And yeah, I'd definitely be down with a reentry fee (one fee per day or multiple?) instead of 8 dollar burned fair food
