Back from my board/life hiatus. Crazy week of floods and a funeral ... time to heal now. Only a couple weeks until Rock the Shores (god I hate that name) which is a mere 5 minutes from my home, and I just bought my Rifflandia superpass to cheer myself up. Things are definitely looking a little brighter. I'm actually getting pretty excited for the Riff lineup announcement(possibly tomorrow I hear). Fingers crossed for some great bands.

Last night my best friend and life partner received a phone call that her younger brother, age 14, had a seizure that caused his heart to stop. He went without a heart beat for 25 minutes before a faint pulse was felt by medics. He was rushed to ICU in Calgary and put on life support. He passed away this morning. I am not writing this looking for sympathy or a response. I am writing this because a 14 year old boy, who without a heart beat, came back to life and all his loved ones had enough time to travel from where ever they were to make peace with an impossible situation and say one last I love you. That is one bad ass kid. Jaden you're my fucking hero for that. Love you little bro.

This is my gut reaction as of right now:
Different bands + different dates in different months = 2 different festivals.
Both weekends may be by Snacks but I wouldn't be surprised if the "2nd Sasquatch" (during the July long weekend) gets re-named within a few years. Calling it Sasquatch now helps to sell it and gives it instant festival cred. Lets face it, a new festival wouldn't be getting any talk right now, especially without a line-up announcement. Like I said, different months with different bands is just 2 different festivals.
I'm not saying this is a bad thing, and I'm gonna do my best to attend both. Still a little choked about it only being 3 days though.
First 2 seasons (and the christmas special) are excellent! Very easy show to get hooked on. Third season had a cast change that I didn't particularly like but it was still pretty good but I haven't gotten around to watching the fourh season yet. I suggest watching the web episodes that take place between seasons 2 and 3 though, they help explain the change that comes in season 3.
Thanks for the tip! Just finished season one, still into it (so far).
