my 6th Sasquatch (first since 2015) I get the feeling a lot of people are in this boat? Hoping so at least, just reading around it seems like '16 and '17 were kinda dead (think they had half the attendance in '16 as '15 if I remember correctly). How many people from here skipped the last 2 years? I'm in this boat. This will be my 8th Sasquatch. Skipped 2012 to go to Coachella, and then the last 2 years the lineups couldn't justify the trek (though I think I would have probably had a great time regardless).

Jay Som was also great. Their stage presence wasn't quite as good as JB, but they can really rock. I wish they were at Sasquatch too. Jay Som played Sasquatch just last year, my dude. Ahhh...I missed that. That makes sense. I haven't been since 2015 so I'm a little out of touch with the lineups the 2 previous years. In any case, Jay Som is good music and so is Japanese Breakfast.

I just saw Japanese Breakfast and was very impressed. Thought they killed it at this small venue, and the front woman had a great presence. I think they'll be awesome with the Sasquatch crowd. Excited to see them this weekend. How was Jay Som if they opened? Jay Som was also great. Their stage presence wasn't quite as good as JB, but they can really rock. I wish they were at Sasquatch too.

I was really hoping MM would be on Sunday so I can promptly skip it. I was not a big fan of their set from 2015. Also maybe I'm in the minority but I really liked both of MM's last 2 headlining sets. I also saw them in Reno last year and was impressed. Lots of deep cuts.

Weenie and I are living proof that the two can exist...harmoniously. Kind of. #neverstoppartying? If I had had Four Loko in its heyday during Sasquatch I would either be dead or a dad now. I shared a real OG four loko with a friend in 2010 and we survived but definitely turned all the way up.

One of these days, somebody (maybe me) needs to get around to creating a dedicated thread for Explosions In The Sky. I know they’ve been getting some love around here, but I don’t feel like they’ve quite gotten the attention they deserve. I saw them last September and they flat out blew me away. I can hardly wait to get to see the at The Gorge (ideally at sunset or late at night). Granted it was awhile ago, but they knocked my socks off when they closed the Bigfoot in 2009. I was in the front row and it was special. There were audience members moved to tears.

I think the Mars Volta reunion being a late add would fit the general theme of the lineup that Stacks has been going for: "the spirit of the best Sasquatches past"

I don't think Petite Biscuit is my thing...

Also...I've come to the conclusion that this lineup is great because: 1) it has a lot of my favorite well-known bands that I love BECAUSE I saw them at a previous Sasquatch, and 2) it has a lot of less well-known bands that are undoubtedly great that I haven't seen yet.

This has already been said (including probably by me) but Anderson Paak and the FN was the best thing I saw at FYF last year and there were many amazing things at FYF last year. Do not miss that set.
I also had to leave Perfume Genius early to catch A Tribe Called Quest, and I'm stoked to see him again. He was great for the bit I saw.

So this will be my 8th Sasquatch. 6 previous times I did D9 and the last time I went I did premier (and would never do D9 again). What's the pros and cons of Wild Horse vs Premier (besides the food)?

Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks announced a new tour that starts right after Sasquatch...he does have a date in August at the Neptune but I think they could still be a late add.

Not as great as Jamie Murph dropping Terje before any of us knew he existed I respect your opinion but It's hard for me to conceive of anything holding a candle to the Bon Iver 2012 set Besides Bon Iver's 2009 set

Does Ray LaMontagne have a huge hidden fan base or something? He's decent, and I've heard him on some of the older-leaning alternative radio stations, but whenever he's on a fest lineup, he's right up near the top. I feel like I've never met a huge Ray LaMontagne fan.

That's the whole thing. There are really only two guys. The choir consists of volunteers from the audience. The guys teach them the song, then everyone performs it together. With or without David Byrne, it sounds pretty cool. If Sasquatch ever breaks their streak of ABSOLUTELY NO GUEST PERFORMERS, it will be at this show. I think (if I remember correctly) in 2010, Broken Social Scene brought out horn players from The National? Or vis a versa

Ugh, that year had Battles too. 2008 was lovely I missed Battles! But they were at the same time as Flight of the Conchords, so decisions had to be made. Flashback Monday: My first Sasquatch! as well! Great memories
