When I intake music it usually consists of a heavy dose of multiple album offerings. Behold the magic of Zune(such an under rated service). I've got 9 hours of music to play every day that I work so I intake a lot. The board has been a great source for finding new music which I graciously share with every customer that wanders on in. There's so much hype behind this Sigur Ros, I was hoping some major fan of theirs who has seen them live could sell me on how awesome they are. Perhaps you should watch their live DVD, Heima. It would be very engaging, even if you aren't completely sold on the music. Also, as someone else said, try out Takk and ( ). Both are excellent.

Flaming Lips are in London on the 20th and the 21st with more appearances in Sweden and Denmark and June. It would seem to me that they would keep moving east instead of coming back to Sasquatch.
Then again they have a ton of resources and have turned around for shows in a much shorter time period so who knows. But it seems unlikely in my mind.

Nice! I've never seen them so that would be awesome if they show up.

Akron/Family would be pretty sweet. Thanks for posting the whole tour btw. I had no idea they are playing Atlanta soon.

That's awesome fantastic news. I don't typically do the rush and wait at Roo unless it's someone I really, really want to see or I'm trying to get into a pit for a What stage show. Really looking forward to a more laid-back atmosphere at Sasquatch (and the scenery). In terms of the car line to enter the festival, it's a long line but not Coachella long, and from my understanding nothing like waiting for hours upon hours upon hours to enter Bonnaroo. I waited 7 hours in line to get into Roo '07. Others years I've waited between 4 and 5 hours. Last summer I actually only waited a half hour and I have no idea how that happened.

So I read through this whole thread and a few of the other newbie threads and I have a few questions.
Is it a pain in the ass to set up your tent in the dark? Whenever I have done Roo we wind up setting up camp sometime between midnight and 5 am. It's not that big of a hassle though because there are big lights set up in the fields and everyone has their headlights on.
I ask because I am flying to Sacramento then driving with a friend so we need to plan the drive (which affects what flight I book). Currently we are planning on leaving Sacramento early in the morning Thursday, setting up camp Thursday night and hitting the ground running Friday morning.
Also, in older posts people commented that the festival was poorly organized. Is that still true? Will we have to plan on massive lines everywhere for every little thing? Again, I have done Bonnaroo the last four years along with other smaller fests so I am realistic about waiting in line for stuff at a music festival.

NIce! I love The Local. Edgewood area usually wins out though because it's convenient to Marta. And shuffleboard at Twain's awesome. Not familiar with Augustine's though.
To think... we might have spoken in real life already... crazy.

If price isn't a concern, Brickstore is perfect because the selection is incredible and I live like 3 miles away.
Lately I've been going with Joystick > Church > Soundtable or something similar. Diesel for watching Auburn football games.
Edit: What about you?

Hell yea! F.I.L.A dude.
That's actually quite reassuring to hear actually. I've never gotten on a plane for a festival before. I think I have a good plan but still, it's reassuring to see others do it successfully.
