Yes please. I have no idea how she is live, but I'd probably act like a 15 year old girl during her set.
I've only seen her once, back in '06 at the Crocodile just prior to the release of Alright, Still, but it was a fucking blast. Full band complete with brass section and two drummers. Shit was ridiculous, they could barely fit on stage (the Croc was much smaller then). I can only imagine what she could do with a budget, She'd be like Robyn 2011 status.
Yup, that's exactly what I meant. I'm really liking the new season so far now that that writing has improved so drastically. Hopefully they can actually make him into a more developed character with the next episode.
There are a few characters in the history of American fiction that are absolutely, unquestionably unredeemable, and he is one of them. Maybe I'm biased due to the level of evil that he was in the books, but the fact that they tried to humanize him at all during his time on the show just made me hate him even more.
Edited to avoid possible spoiler for anyone who's read the books but not seen the last episode.
Geno meant redeem him as an effective villain, seeing as how his arc last season went from "Guy who did random shit" to "Insane person who does random, inexplicably violent shit for no fucking reason, also let's not give Michonne any solid reason for wanting him dead, also, everything sucks now." But that stupid, stupid final tag of him looking at the prison was terrible, the next episode looks like it's all Governor backstory and sounds terrible, and if they don't kill him off by the midseason finale I'm probably done with this show for good.
Like, really? You guys just showed you could have a solid plot arc that showcases some minor characters, and then you bring back the most hackneyed one-note villain in the show's history. And now the next episode is allegedly all Governor backstory? Give me a fucking break.
Yeah, I was bummed. Maybe they were just tired. It was the last day of their tour and the main guy had a little melt-down via social media regarding hecklers a couple of days prior to the show. Oh well, you win some you lose some.
Yeah, he's still pretty young. I think the last time I saw him it was the 2nd or 3rd date of the tour and he was pretty energetic and into it, but yeah, so it goes sometimes. I thought Tycho was super boring when I saw them at 'Squatch but I adore their recorded work, everybody has off days.
Last night was the first show I attended in a while that I wish I wouldn’t have gone to. Teen Daze was boring. Even with a full band I wanted to leave the entire time. His album, Glacier, is by no means upbeat or exciting. It is pretty, ambient music and I enjoy the album. It is similar to Tycho. Tycho kicks ass live and I was extremely excited to catch Teen Daze. Should have stayed home. It was a snoozefest.
