Just got an email that Macklemore is going to be a Keynote speaker at Upstream. I wouldn't be surprised if he performs too, which would explain why he isn't at Sasquatch Finally a platform for White men's voices and opinions.

Regarding us being old and Squatch pandering to the high school demographic: I started going to Sasquatch when I was 15 and I am 30 now, so I don't know if I can really be mad at Snacks for appealing to the kids. Plus aren't his kids like 15 and 18 or something? I'm sure that has some influence. I'm still sad as hell, though. It dolphinately feels like it isn't for us anymore and it's causing me a bit of an existential crisis. Sasquatch is home. I had 13 beautiful, life-altering, magical Sasquatches and I will forever be grateful for that but I'm also feeling pretty lost. My boys are now 14 and 17yrs old. They were quicker to say "what is going on with Sasquatch?!" than I was. They both instantly agreed they did not want to attend. Which is actually good because A) fuck this lineup B) this is the one year it would have been very hard to make it happen, financially. But man, Sasquatch has formed a bond between us that we may never have found. I'll miss it. We'll miss it. That's because YOU are their dad and Sasquatch is in their roots! I work in a High School and the kids are abso-fucking-lutely obsessed with 21 Pilots. They are stoked about this lineup :-(

Slept 4 sad, pathetic hours. Still super sad.
Regarding the information troll or no troll debate, a couple theories: 1) He was an insider who got caught and fired for leaking last year and now he is trying to sabotage. 2) Paul Allen or someone from Pemberton paid him to shit on us. 3) He got cocky after last year and used a less reliable method but still presented the info as facts.

Ouuuuccchhhh.
It only cause of the hype that I am THIS sad though. Initially I was prepared for an underwhelming lineup and would have been semi-okay with this as long as Bonobo is in the tent during 21 Pilots. Still lots to announce, yeah?

Been coping with the waiting anxiety by summoning Bjork's all-mighty alien witch powers. Picked up Debut (gold vinyl), Post (hot pink translucent vinyl, looks rad with my Animal Collective slip mat underneath) and Volta (180g heavy vinyl) at Easy Street with the gift card my 93 year old grandma gets me every year. Summoning intergenerational supernatural feminine energy and willing Bjorksquatch into reality. That is a fucking haul! Possibly, Maybe is sounding perfectly apt right now. And the cover of Debut = me at 11:59pm.

I was just talking to Burrito about my anxiety that the Sasquatch website is saying Tuesday and the vaguely worded email link is out at midnight tonight. He had a very interesting theory that fits along with the whole puzzle/Scavenger hunt theme. He thinks each person might only get one artist and we will have to piece the lineup together and then Sasquatch will officially release the whole thing on Tuesday.
PS- just walked into Easy Street Records and they're playing Arcade Fire... confirmed.

Just wanted everyone to know that I read every single post in the 100+ new pages on this thread since I last posted and you're all doing a very good job. The one thing I wanted to respond to happened dozens of pages ago and I'm too lazy to go back but somebody said something along the lines of "wtf is Bjork doing in the PNW right now? she hasn't put anything out since 2015 blah blah blah..."
As of March 2016 she and Arca had already completed three of the songs for her next album, so I imagine we will hear about a release date soonish. Can't fucking wait for that shit, she is calling it the utopian response to the hell that was Vulnicura (that's not a dis, I love Satan). Vulnicua is so tragic (I wept deeply as she sang those songs to me during the virtual reality experience) and as a result she has talked about it being a very difficult album to perform live but she seems really excited about this next one. She just booked that show in Mexico where she will be singing. I imagine she's going to perform some new songs for the first time there.
Also, if information is right about this lineup, it will dolphinately go down as the greatest Sasquatch lineup of all time. After the failure of last year Snacks must have convinced Live Nation not to pull the plug without giving him one last shot, all the eggs in the 2017 basket. And he seems to be seizing that opportunity by pouring every penny into an insane lineup specifically curated for us loyal OGs based on our requests throughout the years. Bjork is always on our wishlist.
TL;DR- I yell "Bjorksquatch!" at Adam Zacks every time I see him at Sasquatch or STG shows in Seattle, which is actually pretty often.

I had such an intensely joyful reaction to the prospect of this being the Sasquatch lineup. I jumped up and down in my living room, my cats looked at me funny. My hopes are high but the excitement is giving way to a slow sinking fear and now I can't sleep. I want to believe, holy.fucking.shit, if this thing is true. Bjorksquatch 2007 was not only the best set of all the 13 Sasquatches I have attended, it was the greatest show of my entire life. And we get Drew? I mean I have first hand experience with Sasquatch magic but this is some voodoo shit.

Speaking of Dans, can we get some Deacon Deakin in this motherfucker? It seems like I saw his name on another festival lineup this year, but I can't remember which one. Fixed. JK, I want both Deacon AND Deakin. But I've seen Deacon a bunch of times (including at the Gorge), so if I had to pick... DEAKIN pretty pleeeaaasse.

the header for this forum is killing me LOL goddamnit, pea. If Mello is on the mainstage, snacks had better throw us a bone and give us Daphni in the tent at the same time. I realize we just had Caribou but I feel like Dan really enjoys the Gorge.

Haha it'll be a short list over overlaps from me this year. I just got that one thrown to me as a random bone. Haven't really pried much into booking details this year. Just curious if anyone has ever asked Snacks why Sasquatch doesn't coordinate artist collaborations?

Solange --> Frank on the main stage would be some pro-level scheduling.

Mitski playing in Seattle April 8th for a Little Big Show My heart just broke, thanks for the update. Balls. Here's hoping that the Santa Clause doesn't apply since Little Big Show is a non-profit STG endeavor. Maybe Snacks booked a 2-for-1 deal? Wishful thinking.

Considering how high they are in the Coachella poster and that they had a sub headliner billing a couple of years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if they were one of the headliners. Explosions in the Sky are not at Coachella this year. I don't think they were there last year either. I wouldn't say they sub-headlined Sasquatch a couple of years ago; they played the Bigfoot stage while Girl Talk was sub-headlining. Girl Talk's fireworks ended up working well for Explosions in the Sky, but they were not a sub-headliner. (Technically, they were below a headliner, but that's not how we use the term "sub-headliner.") I would be very surprised if there were one of the Sasquatch headliners. Late night Bigfoot set would be ideal, but if they appear, 10pm Bigfoot slot is probably most likely. They could also be skipping the NW on this tour because they played two nights in both Portland and Vancouver and played Bumbershoot last summer, but I do hope they show up at Sasquatch this year! You must be referring to 2012. In 2009 Explosions played after Girl Talk, closing out the Bigfoot stage (they didn't have late night Bigfoot sets back then). I remember this vividly because they took the stage and said, "Wow, Girl Talk got up here and gave you a dance party, what a good time. Girl Talk was somethin else. Allow me to introduce me and mine, our name is Serious Talk but we're not gonna bum you out, the idea is to bliss you out." -- and immediately ripped into Catastrophe and the Cure. He was being a bit snarky for sure (although I don't think it was meant to be rude) and they definitely lived up to their claim, such a loud/intense/blissful set! Those 2009 undercards (devotchka, animal collective, st. vincent, TV on the Radio, of montreal, Deerhoof, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Floxes,Erykah Badu, Tobacco, Black Moth Super Rainbow, etc.) and comedy (Maria Bamford, Todd Barry, Red wine Boys, Tim and Eric, Aziz Ansari, Zach Galifinakis) were SOOOO fucking good , never forget they days before festival over-saturation.

Mitski, Girlpool, Japanese Breakfast, Frankie Cosmos, plz plz plz Snacks. Do it for us please, these girl artists/groups are so high up on my need to see list. If we only get one though like Mitski would be incredible and she just finished her follow-up to Puberty 2 which is a solid project. Hell yes to Mitski.
