here's a rumor: Ben Gibbard & Jay Farrar played a few shows in january. they said they would be keeping their schedules open for the summer. i think there is a small chance of them playing... OR! THE POSTAL SERVICE! you can't rule it out completely.... -they played sasquatch in '04 -death cab's not touring right now. -give up has sold a shitload over the past few years and TPS has played only a couple shows. -this would make sasquatch reeeeally stand out. Alright here's my crazy, insane, unlikely thought... Monsters of Folk brings both My Morning Jacket and She & Him... which brings The Postal Service (because Zooey's married to Ben)... thus Zooey sings female vocals for the Postal Service. Ok this is all a load of poop but isn't that the point of speculation?

Travis from Ear Candy brought this up and as unlikely as it seems it sure would be cool... Monsters of Folk brings both She & Him and My Morning Jacket

Them Crooked Vultures is incredible live. I wouldn't write off TCV just because The Dead Weather seems possible. They're not mutually exclusive. Both would be great (though TDW is my least favorite of Jack White's projects).
How possible is The Arcade Fire? They put on an incredible show in 07. Could be a possible headliner (similar to The Flaming Lips in persona). I'd rather they be a subheadliner but the days of Bjork and Beastie Boys headlining may be temporarily behind us with the economy where it is.

Phoenix, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Temper Trap and She & Him seem like decent bets. I'm hoping for Them Crooked Vultures, My Morning Jacket, Wilco and/or The National as well.
EDIT: The Temper Trap have a break during Sasquatch weekend but they'll be in England before and Paris afterward... pretty unlikely. I'd also like to reiterate the below post. Wilco's not coming either.

I'm a bit nervous about how tough it may be to get into the comedy tent. I'd like to see Blitzen Trapper but Demitri Martin 40 minutes later presents a potential issue. What was the comedy tent like last year? Were the lines long and laborious?

I'm hoping the Dead Weather joins with their recent announcement of their existence (members of Queens of the Stone Age, The Kills and The Raconteurs... including Jack White)... crazy

I'm guessing Street Sweeper(Morello+Boots Riley) will be added as they're opening for the NIN-JA tour. But I wish Mastodon would get added to Monday, against Ben Harper. Do something so people who don't like Harper(like my 8 friends and I) will have something to attend at the end of Sasquatch. Last year sucked when Ghostland went against the Lips. Street Sweeper would be rad. I saw a couple early songs by them at the Tom Morello show in Seattle last November. Good stuff.

Yeah I can't figure out why Mos Def is on the Wookie Stage... I'd think he'd open for Erykah Badu or something... that's a big add if you ask me. I'm stoked... though I'm still curious if Peter, Bjorn and John are truly booted (which would be quite sad). Maria Bamford is hilarious also. This is going to be a year of serious conflicts. The headliners maybe lackluster in name (but pretty good in quality) but the depth is insane.

This thread is wildly presumptuous. Silly and pointless. It's like deciding what you're going to watch on TV on April 24th... what's the point in speculation when you have no clue how it's going down yet?

I think a lot of us have followed the Kings of Leon since early in their career. Their sound has changed (some say for the worse, some for the better). I believe that many of us still see them as the raw indie garage band they were and fail to realize their place on the Billboard charts and radio airwaves. It's strange for sure but they've broken into the mainstream whether we like it or not. Similar to Death Cab they are no longer indie darlings but they are property of the public now.
Because of this, it's not to surprising that their success has brought them a headlining spot.

MGMT is highly likely to be added I would personally say. But within 4-5 days. If they aren't on there then I will have doubt. BoH could be one of the 1-2 main stage acts that are added too... Hopefully. Is there any logic to this or are these just bands you'd like to see there? I'd love to see MGMT. I've already seen Band of Horses and they're pretty decent live but I would be fine heading to another stage if they played the main stage. I'm still hoping Tenacious D gets added (not much logic there, except their song was featured on the website for the last few months). We'll see I suppose.

Considering the small attendance in comparison to the larger festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, it's no surprising they never have huge headliners. The revenue can't be as large as those festivals so it's important to spread the money around. Though I still imagine Pearl Jam will headline someday.

4 days?

I'm thinking I better get a 3-day pass because if I wait the full festival pass may jump to 4 day prices. That's only if Friday counts as part of the 3 day festival.

The Fleet Foxes solo Friday night is interesting. I wonder if there may be a few names added to Friday. Then again the ticket site says its a 3-day show so I dunno what's going on.

I know people are underwhelmed. While I still expected a bigger headliner or two I'm pretty stoked with the variety. Kings of Leon (hopefully plays older stuff), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Decemberists (new stuff is pretty good), Bon Iver, M. Ward, Ra Ra Riot, Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band, Nine Inch Nails (always great live), Jane's Addiction (worth a shot), TV On the Radio, Peter, Bjorn and John, The Walkmen, The Dodos, The Submarines, Ben Harper and Relentless7 (the new stuff is wicked but I like jam bands), Erykah Badu (interesting add), Silversun Pickups, Fleet Foxes (amazing live), Gogol Bordello (amazing energy live), Santigold, Blitzen Trapper, Zach Galfinakas, Todd Barry and Demitri Martin!! Tons of variety, plus the opportunity to catch new artists. That's what Sasquatch is about more than anything. I'm still surprised that Pearl Jam has yet to headline a Sasquatch but it'll come some year. In the mean time I'm still hoping the Tragically Hip, Tenacious D and/or maybe Ryan Adams get added. That's just a bit of wishful thinking on my part but I like the line-up quite a bit. No REM or Beck level group but exciting nevertheless.

The Endfest Band may also be The Ting Tings... they didn't really give much away with those hints. I guess we wait until tomorrow now. There isn't much more to talk about.

To support that the Sasquatch site was playing a Tenacious D song for quite some time. That doesn't guarantee anything but it's an exciting prospect nevertheless.
I just found out that the Dead, the Allman Brothers and the Doobie Brothers are playing the Gorge the weekend before Sasquatch. Man those are going to be two expensive weekends for me.

Funny you should mention them. I don't know if you've noticed but there's a Tenacious D song playing on sasquatchfestival.com as I post. The song is Papagenu (which is about "sasquatch" so who knows if it means anything). Tenacious D would be very rad though.
