First timer here... just a few questions: how much space can I expect at the premier campsite? (I know I can put up a tent... but will I have enough room to put up like a 10' x 10' canopy, as well?) Beer: i know Coors sponsors the event... and tallboys are sold inside the gates... but are there any micro brews available? or is it just the normal domestics? If I want to kill some time between acts... what's the situation on other attractions/ Venders? I.E. - is there other stuff to do apart from music and comedy? I put up a 10 x 10 canopy in Premiere parking along with a 6 person tent, and that was for just two people. You will have plenty of room in Premiere to do whatever you want. The beer situation was very very bad last year. Its mainly coors/miller lite/pbr sold at the majority of vendors. I think there were a couple booths that sold heinekens, but they would be $1 less for 16 oz compared to 24 oz of miller lite. I was very dissappointed with the beer situation last year. There was a Jack Daniels area that you could get mixed drinks and wine. Also very expensive. Pretty much everything that you would buy inside is way overpriced and lacking in quality. That was one of my main issues with the festival. It would be nice if they could have one or two good/micro beer booths this year. And there is not much to do other than music/comedy. There are rumors that there might be re-entry that you pay for ($5 or $10). If thats the case, it might be well worth it to pay for re-entry, go to your campsite for some food/beers instead of having to pay the overinflated costs inside. It would be good If I could not drink so much during the festival for financial reasons, but it was so damn hot last year, a beer in hand was a necessity. Also, stay away from the margaritas. They were so sour/sweet and gross with minimal alcohol content and very pricey.

man, i really hope mmj and deadmau5 don't conflict Unfortunately, there is like a 98.7% chance of this happening. However, since MMJ will probably play an extended set you will hopefully be able to catch at least an hour of each. So I was way off base with this. I did not know that DeadMau5 would be playing the Wookie Stage. I took it for granted that DeadMau5 would be in the dance tent. So I was wrong. My bad Anyways, good news for you Pchapp. Based off of DeadMau5's spot on the line-up, he would be playing the last spot on the Wookie Stage which would mean a conflict with Vampire Weekend. Most likely.

Oh and I find it a bit odd that Deadmau5 is playing Wookie Stage. It'll be rad nonetheless. Thanks for posting that, because I thought Deadmau5 would be in the dance tent. Saturday is going to be a clusterfuck at the end of the evening. I really don't want a Z-trip/MMJ conflict, but it looks like it might happen. Oh, and welcome to the board Friendlydestroyer.

No Chromeo ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( pls omg pls Did anyone else think that the Chromeo DJ set sucked. Dave One can't mix, and Pee Thug was just standing there holding a mic for show. I expect Dam-Funk & Hudson Mohawke to be much better party-rockers. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if James Murphy played a set as well. No, that set was awesome. The mixing might not have been flawless but they were rocking the house. Probably the most fun that I had the entire festival. It would be nice to get a James Murphy DJ set, though.

This is probably my favorite thread on the board. We all want to know which bands we should punch ourselves in the groin for missing, so I'm trying to remain unbiased in this list. This is not a list of who I want to see the most (because Ween and LCD Soundsystem would be at the top), but just my opinion of who puts on the best show. For example, if you've never listened to the National or My Morning Jacket, you would enjoy a My Morning Jacket show much more than a National show. My Morning Jacket Simian Mobile Disco Broken Social Scene Caribou Booka Shade Dirty Projectors The National The Hold Steady LCD Soundsystem Band of Horses Ween MGMT Passion Pit I'm glad that you put MMJ, BSS, and Caribou at the top. All three of those bands are can't miss live shows. Each bring crazy energy to their sets. Its great that they are all playing the main stage. I will definitely check out SMD on your recommendation. I have a feeling that I am going to split up Massive Attack and SMD on Sunday night. Sunday is going to be crazy.

Why does it matter? Cant go 3 days without showering? Why does it matter if they can't go 3 days without showering? answer the question. Everyone needs to relax a little bit. Yes, there are like 2 showers with a long ass line in regular camping. There are 4 showers with a long ass line in premium camping. About the five per car, I think that it is not encouraged but I think that it is allowed. Not 100% on that though. Have you used the search because people have posted about it before.

Any idea when the official schedule will be out? Last year it was about 5 weeks before the festival. You should be expecting like two or three rounds of additions and then a line-up.

you have no frame of reference here, Donny. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...

Looks as though it worked (at least I was able to download it). Thanks to cort (his forum name) who originally created the 2009 schedule. Who knows whether this is anything like what the actual schedule will look like, but if they keep the time slots the same, and don't change around the order of the bands, this is a decent rough draft. Monday is full of conflicts for me: MGMT vs Camera Obscura Ween vs New Pornographers vs Neon Indian Passion Pit vs Japandroids The only other one is The Hold Steady vs National on Saturday, but I have seen the national before, so it makes it a little easier Thanks for doing this. I love the way that Sasquatch is so predictable for the schedule. I can start learning about bands in my "dead" spots to see what else I like. Coachella is the worst with the schedule coming out like two days before. And Bonnaroo is always tough to figure out whats going on because they don't even tell you what days everyone is playing and there are a total of four days. Off this schedule, my only real conflict is the Vampire Weekend v. Public Enemy v. Z-trip. I'll probably check the first 20 of Vampire Weekend and then catch 20 mins of Public Enemy and finish up with Z-trip.

My wife and I went to sasquatch two years ago and loved it, this year we're coming back! When we went there in 2008, there was a comedy tent which was cool but it always had huge lineups to get in so we never bothered. I guess now the comedy tent becomes the electronic tent at night which is awsome.....except...... will it be a line-up type deal to get in or can you just cruise in and check it out? I am stoked to see Deadmau5 and Boys Noize but if I have to waste a 1/2 hr waiting in line while missing other bands I will have to second guess seeing them. Last year it was a covered tent. There were no lines to get in but it was definitely crowded. If you wanted to get up close you would have to get there a little early. People seem to think that they are going to make the tent even bigger this year because there are bigger/more dance acts this year. Plus they named the tent - the Rumpus Room, so hopefully there will be some overhaul/improvements done. There should not be any sort of line scenario, or that would be a big step backwards from last year.

Hold Steady and Public Enemy will both be playing the wookie stage so there will be no conflicts between the two. Source? Vitaminr posted this in the other day thread: Not sure if anyone has done this yet, but I was bored and thought I would share. This is based on what it says on the bottom of the page when you click on a band on the main website and I listed bands in the order they are on the line up. Saturday, May 29th Main: My Morning Jacket / Vampire Weekend / The National/ Broken Social Scene / OK Go / Wale / Brother Ali / Minus The Bear/ Shabazz Palaces Wookie: Public Enemy/ The Hold Steady / Miike Snow/ Portugal. The Man/ Mumford & Sons/Laura Marling/ Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros Yeti: WHY?/ The Lonely Forest / Nurses /The Middle East / Patrick Watson / Morning Teleportation/ Fool's Gold Dance/Comedy: Deadmau5/ Z-Trip/The Very Best/ Garfunkel & Oates / Dam-Funk Sunday, May 30th Main: Massive Attack / Pavement / LCD Soundsystem / Tegan and Sara/ Kid Cudi/ The Long Winters/Midlake/Caribou Wookie: Nada Surf / Dirty Projectors/ The xx / Girls/ The Tallest Man On Earth/ City and Colour/Cymbals Eat Guitars/ Local Natives Yeti: Vetiver/ Avi Buffalo/ Fruit Bats/ tUnE-yArDs /Freelance Whales/ Jets Overhead Dance/Comedy: Simian Mobile Disco/ YACHT /Booka Shade/ A-Trak/ Rob Riggle / Luke Burbank Monday, May 31st Main: Ween / MGMT / Band of Horses / She & Him / Passion Pit/ Drive-By Truckers/ The Temper Trap/ Mayer Hawthorne & The County Wookie: The New Pornographers/ Camera Obscura/ Dr. Dog/ The Mountain Goats / Quasi/ The Low Anthem/Yes Giantess Yeti: No Age / Phantogram /Japandroids / Fresh Espresso/Telekinesis / Past Lives Dance/Comedy: Boys Noize / Neon Indian /Hudson Mohawke/ Craig Robinson Gives us a pretty good idea what the schedule. The additions will move things around a little bit, but this is a good rough idea.

Do you think that The Hold Steady will play the mainstage on Saturday or possibly close out the Wookie Stage? Hope they don't conflict with Public Enemy...thoughts? Hold Steady and Public Enemy will both be playing the wookie stage so there will be no conflicts between the two.

tallest man on earth is amazing. loved the new caribou single and checked out his first record...pretty stoked! Make sure you check out Up in Flames by Caribou. Great album. Also his dvd - Marino is awesome. Its his music put to some crazy animation. Caribou is one the acts I'm most excited for. I've seen him 3 times and each show was unbelievably energetic. Drums on top of drums on top of drums. Super excited that he is playing the main stage.

I know that it has only been a couple days since the line-up came out but I instantly connected to a couple bands already.
Definitely digging Phantogram and what I have heard of Hudson Mohawk.
I'm about to go on a 3 month Sasquatch band induced stupor, basically listening to only Sasquatch bands.
What bands have you started getting into since the line-up has been posted?

Live Nation is replacing the main stage at the Gorge with a new, upgraded stage. It'll be in place for Sasquatch! along w/other improvements from earcandyblog@twitter Thats good news. I honestly thought the main stage wasn't loud enough last year unless you were up closer and to the middle. Plus I bet the video screens will be updated too. Maybe Hi-Def action!

they always add more bands after the initial announcement, it wouldn't be unexpected for them to add some more middle of the lineup bands as well as some sub-headliners. they added murder city devils pretty late last year. I looked at last years line up and compared it to this years. If my math is right, theres going to be 1 wookie add for Saturday, 1 main stage add for Sunday, 1 yeti add for Sunday, 1 main stage add for Monday, 1 wookie add for Monday, and 1 yeti add for Monday. Plus there are going to be a bunch more comedians added and maybe a dance act or two. This is based on the number of bands that played last year and if they are going to keep the same number this year. They are definitely switching it up in the Dance tent, so I am not sure how many adds there will be there, but there will probably be a couple more electronic acts and a bunch more comedians to fill out the early part of the day. I would definitely expect a couple decent sized names to be added. I don't think that we are going to get any headliner adds, unless the tickets just don't sell. Also, the more that I looked at the psuedo-schedule the more excited I am about the festival. While I agree that Flaming Lips or Arcade Fire would send this festival over the top, its really solid just the way it is right now.

Thanks for doing that Vitamin. Thats basically the schedule with a couple of additions to move some spots around.
A couple things pop out for me - Caribou making the big stage is awesome.
The fact that there are four dance acts on Sunday makes me feel like there will be a couple electronic additions to fill out the other nights. Kinda like Crystal Castles getting added last year (I think they did).
There are some serious acts at the Yeti too.

Does anyone know how the shuttle system works for the premium grounds? Are there 2 set times, to the gates and back, or do they do a few scattered throughout the day? They had multiple shuttles running back and forth all day long. I don't remember waiting too long any time going to the fest or leaving. No more than 10 minutes. I think the only issue with the shuttles was that one had a/c issues but that was no big deal. The shuttles were one of the main perks for premium camping.

Charging for re-entry? I seriously don't know enough languages to cover all the profanity... no shit but it beats no re-entry at all.
