Was anyone else bothered by this? I really wanted to Jon Benjamin, and I went at the time that the Stranger said, but it was someone else. It was really kinda lame

I had these friends from Cheney come down for Monday, so I was hanging out with them. One of their neighbors went missing for around 24 hours. They found his clothes and his cell phone.
I guess someone slipped him something, and he tripped out for a while. At one point, he jumped off a moving 12-passenger van.

6. Street Sweeper Social Club *end song* "Thank You. We're Street Sweeper Social Club....Street Sweeper Social Club. We're not a band....we're a social club." Great show, but my friends and I cracked up in between every song because Boots said pretty much that after every song, word for word. It became a heavily used quote over the weekend with my friends and I. Eg "Its not that they're a band band or anything....they're a social club"

1. Girl Talk-Even though I watched another band after this show, this was really a great end to the festival.
2. Gogol Bordello-This was the energy boost I needed
3. Yeah Yeah Yeahs-So great, that I didn't even stay for Kings of Leon
4. Avett Brothers-These guys rock, plain and simple
5. Mad Rad- Just a fun show

I've been listening to a lot of the Avett Brothers lately. Some really, really good stuff. I hope they play some of their stuff from previous albums(especially the songs "SSS" and "Swept Away". Two beautiful songs)

I'm sure I and the two people I'm with would be more than down to play BP. We go to WSU, so, yeah, you could say that we have a lot of practice.

Possible Conflicts for me: Day 1 -M. Ward/King Kong and the Shrines. Ward starts at 3:25. KK starts at 3:40. Bummer. These were two of the bands I was most excited for. -Decemberists/Mos Def. I thought it would be awesome to see Mos Def, but no way am I choosing him over Decemberists. Day 2 -Avett Brothers/Builders and the Butchers-Pretty much the exact situation as M.Ward and KK&tS. Really excited for both bands. This one may be tougher, though, since these two are closer genre-wise. Day 3 looks pretty spread out based on what I want to see. So, considering the amount of bands there, and the amount of bands I'm excited for, the fact that I can still count on 1 hand the conflicts that'll have really isn't that bad at all. Not really considering YYY/BI a conflict, since I'd choose YYY over them, mainly because I know that if I want to see a good folk artist, those are in high supply this year at Sasquatch. A rock band with an insane female vocalist? Not so much.

one thing i was noticing.. there's 9 bands listed for the main stage on saturday, but only 7 for sunday and 8 for monday. i think we'll be seeing some main stage additions pretty soon. yeah, or possibly some Yeti/Wookie stage acts being added, so some of those stages will poop an act or two up to main.

So, we've all beat discussions about the headliners into the ground, while a lot of the undercard bands have barely been discussed at all.
Which ones are you looking forward to most?
I listened to the Worms vs. Birds Sunday playlist yesterday, and there is some great stuff on there.
I think The Avett Brothers are gonna be awesome. The Submarines will be cool, too. Devotchka will probably be pretty awesome.
A couple of others I'm really looking forward to are King Kahn and the Shrines(just downloaded one of their albums yesterday and its right up my alley) and Golgol Bordello.

I wasn't too hyped up on Sunday's line-up(saturday pretty much sold the entire festival for me)...that is until I downloaded the worms vs. birds Sunday playlist. Its awesome. The undercard sounds amazingly awesome. I just hope there aren't a lot of time conflicts, but I know there will be, because I like most of what I heard off that playlist.
I can't wait until Monday's comes out, since I am really not sold on that day in the least except for maybe one or two bands, and i hope the playlist changes my mind.

yeah, I have to agree that Monday is definately the most dissapointing day of the whole festival. Saturday is packed from top to bottom, Sunday is looking pretty good, too, but there is a definite drop-off in quality on Monday.
The band I am looking forward to right now on Monday is Golgol Bordello. From what I've heard, they're downright awesome!

whenever I go to buy, it says they're not available. They're not sold out already, are they?

man, small world. Someone on this forum just PM'd me today. they're a current Coug, too.
Well, I guess its not that crazy. This is, afterall, a forum dedicated to a NW music festival. But its still cool. I guess I'm used to being on forums with a whole lotta population distribution.
But anyway, yeah, thanks a ton!

yeah, that's kinda what I'm afraid of. No one in the area that I know of unfortunately.
I'm thinking if I park it near the back of like a supermarket or something I might be ok, but I don't know. I'm just thinking of back home(I come from a tiny town myself. about 2500 residents). People leave cars in the Safeway parking lot for days, and as long as its not taking up a front space or something, they're usually left alone, even by the wannabe thugs and methheads.

So, I will hopefully have my car all up and nice and running with my valid license and everything tip-top by Sasquatch weekend. Lets just assume I will.
So, I'm meeting some friends from the other side of the state(Oly). They're bringing the car we're camping in. As far as I know, I'm the on the East side(Spokane area) coming in my caravan. So, obviously, I don't want to pay $40 basically to park my vehicle, when I'm going to be hanging out in my friend's car all weekend.
So, would any of you reccomend parking my car somewhere in the Quincy-area for the weekend? Its just some beater car(1990 Ford Tempo), so its not like I'm going to be leaving a Benz unattended for 3-4 days, so I doubt theft, vandalism would be an issue? Or should I just pay for either a)camping with my car or b)a bus ticket from Spokane to the Gorge area(probably around $40 as well).
Have any of you guys ever done something like this?
