That sounds like a fantastic idea IS8! I should definitely do that! .../growup At least admit that you were just trying to get hits on your blog when you lied to us before the lineup was announced.

They just added Todd Barry and Rory Scovel to the comedy tent on Sunday.

Soundgarden/Arcade Fire/Pavement. I almost didn't vote for Pavement. Same here. I hope they aren't a headliner, but it seems highly likely.

Vote for who you think will headline, not for who you hope will headline. Lets see if we are even close tonight!

I can't believe the lineup will be announced tonight and we are still moslty clueless as to who will be playing. It's funny to see people so polarized over some bands like Soundgarden & New Pornographers... they are playing, they aren't playing! What will we have to argue about once the lineup is comes out?

I honestly would love to see JEW play Sasquatch! as long as they didn't play anything newer than Bleed American. They really went to shit after that album. Unfortunately, i don't really think they would fit the genres the festival tries to cover.

You are right, I have one post and no credibility... I'm not trying to get credit for anything, I just love the festival and Soundgarden and am stoked they are gonna be there. You don't have to believe me... but if you want to acknowledge that I was right next Monday/Tuesday that would be nice!!! =) I hope you're right, but I have a feeling you're full of shit. What do you like us to do if you're wrong when the lineup comes out?

Here are a few bands to add to the rumors...
On tour with Nada Surf Josiah Wolf The Donkeys
On tour with Why? Telekinesis
I've never heard of any of these supporting bands, so if they're playing, I am assuming they'd be on the Yeti stage.

2002 - String Cheese Incident 2003 - Coldplay 2004 - The Postal Service 2005 - Pixies 2006 - Beck, Ben Harper, Nine Inch Nails 2007 - Bjork, Beastie Boys 2008 - REM, The Cure, Flaming Lips 2009 - Kings of Leon, Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction, Ben Harper Granted that Ben Harper had a different backing band the 2nd time. Compiling this makes me not understand the Jack Johnson hate; I assumed he had headlined once in the past and that's where it all came from, but he's only even played at the thing once, in 2002, as a subheadliner. Didn't Beck headline in 2006? It was a 1 day festival, I guess it depends on how you view a headliner. My thought is that the headliner is the last act each night so in my eyes the guy made the correct statement. Seriously? It was a 3 day festival in '06 and NIN headlined the first night. Please refrain from posting nonsense.

I'm with you cbatson. Jack Johnson is probably too big now since he headlined the Gorge himself. Pearl Jam is never going to be at Sasquatch. And NIN could not sell out the Gorge themselves. I've seen NIN sell out larger venues than the Gorge. That being said, I saw Ben Harper and Jack Johnson with 45,000 other people in 2003. Jack Johnson had a significantly larger following, and although he still probably does, a lot of people are also over him, no one really gets over NIN. Jack Johnson is no less/more larger than Radiohead, REM or the Beasties. Where did you see them with that many people in 2003??

Premier camping for Sasquatch last year was a joke. We won't be doing that again. Debating whether to camp at Wildhorse or get a hotel. I'd like to hear from someone who's stayed at Wildhorse. I'm wondering how the showers are and if their shuttle service is any good.

cripes people, just go to wildhorse. you pay less than the general campground price and get the same amenities as the premium campground. if you insist on staying at the gorge campground, premium/general are pretty much right next to eachother, with premium being closer to the venue. The premium campground is actually further from from the venue than the general camping, but there are air conditioned shuttles that take you to/from the venue. Not that it even matters - the Premium Camping option seemed to be sold out as of this morning.

Ben Harper is my disappointment. I keep hoping they'll add a diffferent headliner to close out the festival but I'm sure it's highly unlikely. I guess I'll get to bed early on Monday night if I go!

I don't believe the UFO show was there. If it was then the contract was US exclusive which is possible. But even the Lips listed the Sasquatch show as the only UFO show of 08. Then again it's the Flaming Lips, so anything goes. I was at both festivals. First off....Calgary's Virgin fest was absolute crap from start to finish (some bands were alright but the entire setup was garbage. Quick tip...I emailed them after....cursed them out....they sent me two tickets to Bloc Party: ) Flaming Lips did do the UFO show in Calgary but not nearly to the extent that they did at Sasquatch. I was at the show in Calgary too. The Lips didn't do the UFO show there. Sasquatch was the only UFO show last year.
