Anyone know if Sled is coming around for a third year? I missed the first two due to a wedding and having no one to go with (blasphemous, I know - my friends have no taste in music). I really have to suck it up and do things by myself if this is going to be the case this year.

Anyone going to Wintersleep's March 30th show in Calgary? Off to (belatedly) get my tix today. This was the first I heard of it because I've been pissed at the lack of shows here lately and forget to check! Looking forward to it!

Yeah Pemberton was somewhere between 40-45K people. I think the dance tent was more than 1500, but it was still WAY too small of a capacity. The tent itself was huge, however when at capacity the tent was still only about 1/3 full. Made no sense. It definitely should have been larger, or an open tent. I missed all of the DJs because I was just not willing to sacrifice a great band on stage to stand in line. Still pissed I missed Deadmau5.

jewels, haha same here I bought a 12 pack of water and filled all the middle bottles with vodka, and made a false back to by back pack for the whiskey, and in the end it didnt mater, and we drank it all by friday at noon. Also did you notice the big fence at the west side of the campground fell down and there was a trail to the parking lotthere and no one did anything bout it , we brought in 4 cases of beer to our tent from there. That's totally what we did! The water bottles I mean...ingenious, hey? We got the "honor system" by our 18yr old security guard at the pole line lot before we went on the bus, he didn't check us or anything. It's really too bad we just flew so low under the radar or I would've brought a hell of alot more in.

^We had the ultimate plan to smuggle vodka into Pemberton that would have got past Coachella-like security. After all was said and done, I could have definitely walked in with a texas mickey and no one would have batted an eye! All that worry and work for nothing. ...and we ended up partying so hard Thursday night we drank everything we had anyway and ended up buying $7 beers all weekend anyway

P.S. Do you even mention you are going to Sasquatch when you go across the border? I just wonder how much the guys know about the music festival there and whether they will search the crap out of you. Maybe I should just say I'm camping. Odd question I know, but I'm kind of a neurotic traveller!

Hello fellow Canadians! I experienced my first ever festival last summer at Pemberton and now have an addiction, like I'm sure most of you have. Since Coachella is a little too far for me at this point (already have too many weddings to fly to this summer), I decided that I'm going to drive the 10 hours from Calgary to the Gorge. My boyfriend and I have had great aspirations of attending Sasquatch for the last 3 years but just haven't been able to do it. This year I'm saying "screw it" and might just go by myself if I have to. Can't wait to see the line-up in a week from now ...very excited about this electronica tent!
