What a perfect way for this thread to gown down: in a blaze of bullshit Would you like to book a time for your apology or should I just expect you around 10pm tonight

Here you go. Been sitting on this for awhile from high above. Figure it's okay to post now since it's coming out later today. Some of these may already be known but I can't be bothered reading through the whole thread:
Definite: death cab for cutie, mumford and sons, bright eyes, wolf parade, Sharon Jones, iron and wine, city and color, Maybe: Modest mouse, tv on the radio, wilco
Flame now, apologize later!

Can't believe Explosions In The Sky, M83, and Bon Iver aren't on the mainstage. My utopian Sasquatch has always included seeing EITS at sunset overlooking the gorge. Oh well, I'm still just soooo happy they will be there (and aren't at any other fests right now!) True. Saw them at Coachella on the main stage but it was mid-afternoon. They are totally a sunset, main stage band for Sasquatch.

Really, who sees more than five or six sets a day anyways? For me it reduces down to:
Kings of Leon / Yeah Yeah Yeahs / Animal Collective / Sun Kil Moon / King Khan & The Shrines / Shearwater /
Sunday, May 24th
Jane's Addiction / TV On The Radio / Peter Bjorn and John / of Montreal / M83 / The Walkmen /
Monday, May 25th
Silversun Pickups / Fleet Foxes / Gogol Bordello / Grizzly Bear / Explosions In The Sky / Girl Talk / Monotonix /
Every fest I've gone to though I've left with at least one really pleasant surprise - a band I wasn't even planning on seeing who were great.

Last year was a blast and while I liked seeing REM and the Cure, the highlights for me were not the headliners. Seeing Okkervil River, Malkmus, Breeders on the second stage while having a few beers was the best. New Porns, PUSA and MIA were my main stage highlights.

That has four of the five I was told would be there.

Who cares what you know? Even if you posted the five acts you know, it would still be speculation until anything is confirmed on Tuesday. Patience is a virtue. We can all wait four more days. Uhhh...wasn't it you who said, "I like hints, I like clues, and we all like speculating, and since this is the headliners (speculation) thread, I will add to the speculation" Yes. Yes it was you. Along with another 100 odd posts on the subject.

I'm going to publish and TIME STAMP the exact time offyerhead gets pushed into the gorge and then release it after the festival to prove the internet is real. that one made me laugh this place is nothing like the coachella board though. that place in January is a mass convention of angry/ADD hipsters chained to laptops

offyerhead I am excited to see this. The timestamp can easily be changed though. Now if you commented the blog with a timestamp! THAT would be legit. I am also sad I cannot find your blog. I found you enjoy poker, so do I . But Google didn't bring me your blog The blog is just for this purpose and won't be found. Totally generic. Not into poker but that was a thread on their site by Steve Albini inviting anyone to ask questions about music, musicians and the music biz. It was pretty great. Not sure about those other offyerheads (except the Coachella Board; that's me). I see what you mean. If I have time I'll do as you suggest but this is becoming a bigger deal than I intended though I did bring it on myself.

Just to show that I'm not bullshitting and to show that occasionally you can trust what some people say on the internet, I've published the five bands I know online with a timestamp that shows they went up today. I'll post the URL once the announcement comes out (or the night before if I have a few drinks).

'Felix' may not think people are interested in the reunion band but of the five I know, that's the one that interests me the most and I think they will be a solid draw.

It's not Snoop or Santi but I knew the Bonnaroo hint would lead to those guesses! Maybe I'm not seeing the Kanye vibe the same way that others did but oh well. No more clues. It's only a few days away now anyways.

Hey cc, I just posted a nearly identical comment in the headliners thread, since this is more of a headliner topic. I like your thought on Snoop being the Kanye West, although now that I think of it, Public Enemy might be Kanye, instead of Lupe Fiasco, who I tabbed in the headliners thread. I'll give you this: it's not PE but the 'Kanye' replacement is also playing Bonnaroo. I'm not going to comment on the headliners anymore.

I like hints, I like clues, and we all like speculating, and since this is the headliners (speculation) thread, I will add to the speculation, Earlier tonight, someone posted in the lineup thread (in case you didn't read it, it seems to belong here either way): "I was just told the headliners today by someone who knows. I know many people say that so it will be doubted. Oh well. I promised I wouldn't say who they were but I will say that the guesses on here are much closer than the frenzy of internet noize that was the Coachella Board leading up to their announcement. I will also say: no radiohead, no pearl jam, no no doubt I can't find the post by 'felix' that people are referring to but he is correct: two repeat headliners and a reunion band. I was also told Kings of Leon and that one is pretty established from other sources so I don't mind saying that. The last name I was told was not a headliner but, as I said on the Sasquatch blog today, will be more like Kanye was in 2005. Different vibe by a well known name. I'm just finding it interesting how this all looks when (for the first time) I know who the top names are and others are trying to piece it together (and generally doing a pretty good job). " Since we have nothing else to go on, let's just play the game that Felix and this dude above are telling the truth, I certainly would count their supposed "insider knowledge" over 80% of other "insider knowledge" posts I have read on other web boards. I also agree with new dude that Pearl Jam and Radiohead will not be there, and if he/she is not bullshitting, No Doubt will not be there. We will know for sure if these two dudes are phonies in a couple days, but my thoughts now on the headliners are this: Nine Inch Nails/Oasis/Ben Harper & the Relentless7. Oasis would be considered a reunion band no one cares about, right? After all, they were the first rumored headliner. The "fucking hell yeah" replacement would be the Beastie Boys over Ben Harper. I find it nearly impossible to think any other band would repeat headlining. As for the Kanye spot who is not a headliner, it would have to be Lupe Fiasco, right? Then again, the new post above could very well be Felix himself, laughing at all of us. But the speculation is still fun. No to Lupe and I'm not going to comment on your guesses at headliners as I'll just end up giving it away if I keep doing that. I'm not Felix. I can't even find the actual post by him; just references to it by others but he seems to have similar info to mine. My source is way up high and with the announcement so close it's pretty certain it won't change. He's pretty excited about the whole lineup but only told me five bands.
